Remember the Whitney Houston copy (with a few false moments) singing for the Nederlands?? She was invited to go to Vegas by no one but Céline Dion. Whitney copy said no thanks since the invitation was due this weekend (when she was sopposed to compete in the ESC). And she didn't make it to the finalle... so she said no thanks to Céline for nothing... However the invitation still stands and she's going there some other time... First her manager announced she would go to Vegas for sure, but later she decided not to go. She wanted to make sure her preparations for the Eurovision were 100% and if she would go to Vegas, she would come back to Holland, be here one day and then take the plane to Kiev. Due to the time-difference she decided this was not a very wise decission. First I was dissapointed she said no to Céline, but on the other hand it was a very professional decission. I am sure Glennis wants to see Céline's show just as much as anybody else, but there was also a big weight on her shoulders. If she would have failed after going to Céline, everyone would say: "You see? She went to Vegas and now she is too tired to perform ok for our country!" I think she wanted to give herself for 100% and she did not want to take a risk. Nothing wrong with that. It's a shame she did not make it to the finals. Ok, she is no Céline but I think I never saw so much bad music in my life. It's terrible, they all look like models with big breasts popping out of their dresses and they can't sing a note. It's time music wins from looks and political choices! Winning the Eurovision does not have any meaning anymore, I think. The Eurovision is becoming a totall waste of time because each year there is more and more stupid songs, clownacts, and people who can stay in tune. And the worst thing of them all is that those countries go through or and up high. As for Glennis this is a very talented singer, who has a voice that looks like Whitney's but she can't help it she just happened to have such a voice. But if you listen to her cd you will hear it's not Whitney and that it's a very good cd. And is very bad for Glennis that they always compare or call her Whitney she is trying to get rid of that image for maby 10 years now since she won the soundmixshow when she was 16. But on this moment I think her voice is even better that whitney's because of Whitney's drugs addiction. But because Whitney was here first they say that Glennis copy's her but all I can say Glennis is Glennis. Because this is a Céline Dion forum I will add that Glennis admires Céline very much and she found it very hard not to go to Vegas but like LD1977 said she made a professional choice. And she will go to Vegas definitly and probable will meet Céline there.
