Thank You to my Forum Family

My DEAR Forum Family -

You may have noticed my infrequency or absence from the forum the past six months. My "free" time has been occupied by frequent stays at the hospital with my dad.

My father was diagnosed with cancer in April and had to undergo a quadruple bypass in June. He had almost recovered from the heart surgery, but contracted pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital just before we were hit by hurricanes Gustav and Ike. Unfortunately, the pneumonia made him extremely weak, and he didn't regain enough strength to have the tumor removed from his bladder or to undergo chemotherapy. The cancer spread like wild fire and I am sad to say that he passed away on November 18th.

I would like to thank all my forum family for your kind words and support during my absence and at this time of grief.

Ohh Mama B, I'm so sorry to hear that, there are really no words that can take away the pain of losing somebody so close, I only hope that you are comforted in thoughts the he is no longer suffering. I will be thinking of you are your family during this time

i never lost someone so close,only my grandpha but back then i was 5 so i couldn't understand it. I can't imagen how hard it is for you, but i wish you and your family just the best.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. Time is a great healer and even though no one would be ever be able to replace your dad, he is a much better than where we are right now. He's in peace. You and your family are in my prayers

sorry to hear that friend hope you are a little better now, and over christmas, all the best
