University stops raising money for cystic fibrosis because it's "not inclusive enough"

*sigh*

The Carleton University Students' Association has voted to drop a cystic fibrosis charity as the beneficiary of its annual Shinearama fundraiser, supporting a motion that argued the disease is not "inclusive" enough. Cystic fibrosis "has been recently revealed to only affect white people, and primarily men" said the motion read Monday night to student councillors, who voted almost unanimously in favour of it.

Wow, must be great to hear: "We're not raising money for research into your disease because not a wide enough variety of people die from it"

What kind of explanation is that?

It's really sad that something like this happened with such a lame reason. I'm sure the university puts thousands of dollars into things that aren't needed (*cough*CEO bonuses*cough). I'd like to know what Celine's reaction would be to this.
