She had submitted my story late September and I have had friends and family voting to get me into the top 10. I FINALLY made it into the top 10 (number 8 with 641 votes!) and out of those 10, a grand prize winner is chosen 4. JUDGING/VOTING/WINNER DETERMINATION: (a) Entries will go through two judging rounds to select the two monthly winners and the one Grand Prize winner. First, visitors to the Web site will vote on who is the most sensational woman. The top ten vote recipients will then be judged by a panel of judges from Sponsor, utilizing the following criteria, with 25 points available to be awarded for each criterion: (i) sincerity of nomination, (ii) style of Entry, and (iii) what makes the nominee sensational. AND THEN.. my mom got this email today : Sent: Monday, November 17, 2008 9:25 AMTo: Kim AllenSubject: [bULK] Celine Dion Sensational Women Awards Dear Kim, Congratulations!! Your story has been selected as the Grand Prize Winner for the Celine Dion Sensational Women Awards. Please send back your mailing address, as well as your daughter’s mailing address, so we can send you both your prizes - Celine Dion Product Gift Baskets and Tickets to see Celine Dion in Concert in Miami on January 23, 2009. Once you send back you information we will work out flight and hotel accommodations for your trip. Thank you and Congratulations! This is the award stated in the terms and conditions of the contest... ( One (1) Grand Prize: The Grand Prize winner and the winner’s nominee (if winning nominee was self-nominated, winner may choose her travel companion) will receive a trip to Miami for 3 days and 2 nights during the time period between January 23-25, 2009 for the Celine Dion concert on January 23, 2009. The trip consists of (i) round trip coach class air transportation for two from major airport near winner’s U.S. residence selected by Sponsor, (ii) standard hotel accommodations (double occupancy) for three (3) nights, and (iii) two tickets to the Celine Dion concert at the American Airlines Arena, the particular seat selection as determined by Sponsor. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of Grand Prize is $4,000. We have to come up with the taxes on the airfare and hotel but thats this least I could do!
