The album "One Heart" is amazing

I'm not what one would consider an active poster nor a die-hard fan, but I truly enjoy Celine Dion's music - there's just an emotional connection I have to a good bit of her work. And in regards to this forum, I read quite a few of the threads on here every few days, trying to stay current with what's going on in the Celine Dion fandom.

 

What I've seen is there isn't a huge respect for the "One Heart" album and I'm not sure why? This album truly encompasses everything I've ever loved about Celine as an artist. She's uplifting, she's inspiring, she's thoughtful and deep and hopeful. The songs are sort of glossy in a way, but I think that's good. It's wholesome and it flies (well, even some of the songs I dare say not just fly but "soar".)

 

The songs "Have You Ever Been in Love", "Forget Me Not", "Faith", "Coulda Woulda Shoulda", "I Drove All Night", "One Heart"... I just never could get enough of them.

 

And I swear hands down that, when I find the love of my life, I believe "I Know What Love is" is what it is supposed to feel like.

 

Looking back, I don't really see a point to this post except just expressing some unorganized thoughts about this record...

I love this album too, It's seen as one of her least "good" albums, but I personally like it!

it took me about 5 years to appreciate this album.

 

i have found a whole new appreciation for this album this year. i really tried hard to like this album, and i'm glad i succeeded (though there are still songs that i find "filler" like Love is All We Need, Have You Ever Been in Love/Sorry for Love (of course!lol), and Coulda Woulda Shoulda). my favorite is "I Know What Love Is". such a heartfelt interpretation by Celine . i love In His Touch, but it's too Mandy Moore for me LOL!, love it though. Naked kinda reminds me of Jennifer Love Hewitt, but it's a fun song. she showcased her RnB side thru Forget Me Not, and her side via Naked and Reveal. all in all, it's no way near the quality of Taking Chances and Falling into You, but this album is one of her coolest and freshest albums.
