kd Lang concert

So tonight in Birmingham, Alabama - kd Lang performed. And it was amazing.

 

I have been somewhat familiar with kd's music for years - since my mom is a fan. But - just recently - have I gotten to know more of her songs intimately. Her voice is up there on my list of favorties. It has the smoothness, the soul, the range, the diction, the clarity, the sensuality. She resembles my all time favorite singer, Karen Carpenter. That delicious alto range.

 

Needless to say - it was a superb concert. And I recommend going to see her if she tours near you.

 

She was encored three times - and the audience was eating out of her hands. Including me!
