[Alex] Posted October 25, 2008 at 04:25 PM Posted October 25, 2008 at 04:25 PM (edited) I have this CD that says its French:http://www.powerofthemusic.com/des%20mots.html But on the CD it says Made in Austria. I'm confused. And also, how to find out if the CD I have is UK or Australian edition, as both of them have the same cat. number. Davey84 Posted October 25, 2008 at 04:36 PM Posted October 25, 2008 at 04:36 PM A lot of European cds are fabricated in Austria. That doesn't have to mean that the original release country is Austria. So in this case the release country is France, but it's made in Austria. Most vynil singles are fabricated in Holland, but most of them were never released here, but only in France hahahaha and I thought most cassettes were made in the UK, but I could be wrong. [Alex] Posted October 25, 2008 at 04:53 PM Author Posted October 25, 2008 at 04:53 PM How about differences between UK and Australian CDs? Quote http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/9782/myweekwithmarilynpremje.jpg
Davey84 Posted October 25, 2008 at 05:12 PM Posted October 25, 2008 at 05:12 PM well Australia isn't quit next to the UK or Europe now, is it? If it says made in Australia, then you can 99% say that it was made AND released in Australia. (Same goes for USA, Canada) Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

And Austria has nothing to do with Australia. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!

[Alex] Posted October 25, 2008 at 05:53 PM Author Posted October 25, 2008 at 05:53 PM For example: I have this CD (info taken from collector's guide) The Colour of My Love (1993)UK Epic 474743 2 CDAustralia Epic 474743 2 CD And there's nowhere written made in Australia or in UK on the CD or on the cover. Bellamy Posted October 25, 2008 at 06:01 PM Posted October 25, 2008 at 06:01 PM Those are released in Australia or in UK, not made there. Where it is released has nothing to with where it is made. Just like you see made in some made in China products are for sell everywhere, but in China. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. [Alex] Posted October 25, 2008 at 06:29 PM Author Posted October 25, 2008 at 06:29 PM But European CDs of TCOML have been released by Columbia and mine is Epic. Quote http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/9782/myweekwithmarilynpremje.jpg
Hilda Posted October 30, 2008 at 12:43 AM Posted October 30, 2008 at 12:43 AM (edited) well if its epic and it was an original 1993 edition then it will be uk. and it will have just walk away on it and it will have a silver disc with blue strip down it. Back in the day uk and australia were epic releases altho both had different logos for each so u could usually tell as well as the US having a different epic logo also. But then columbia took over the european 'epic' market so nowadays if you walk into a store in the uk - all celines back catalogue will be columbia. so basically i reckon u have a uk edition but if its epic it will have been released pre 2003 Edited October 30, 2008 at 12:50 AM by Hilda Quote
