Just wondering about this DVD

I have just recently won a copy of Au Coer du stade on Ebay and I was wondering if its a worthwhile DVD to have and who has it and what your opinions of the concert are? It sounds like a really great DVD from the reviews I have read.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of it, I much prefer TCOML concert to this and of course the magic of the AND DVD it just seems as though it was cheaply done, but that's just my opinion still a great DVD to have though

Actually the concert is not that bad, i love watching Celine perform On ne change pas & S'il suffisait d'aimer and some others. But the highlight of the dvd is the making of The Let's Talk About Love and S'il Suffisait D'aimer albums.

i'm not a huge fan of ACDS concert. this has to be the 2nd worst concert of hers behind TCOML for me. i really hate her outfits there. i love her long straight hair, but in that concert, for some reason, it just didn't work. and i must agree that the best part of that dvd is the LTAL recording session. but the concert itself was awful. i'm sorry, but they should've released the Millennium concert instead.

Well, I'll go on record as saying I love this concert. You've got some great stuff from LTAL such as the title track, The Reason, To Love You More, My Heart Will Go On (when it was live!) PLUS fantastic performances from SSDA: Je Crois Troi, On Ne Change Pas, Terre, Dans Un Autre Monde. It's fun - great set list, great hair - Celine at her best before she became a Las Vegas Performing Robot.

For some funny reason, the two concert dvds I keep on watching over and over at weekends are LaP and ACDS So yeah, if you ask me, I love this dvd

 

As for the Memphis one, I hate her hair, her yellow suit but her vocals were at the top

well. the ACDS dvd is really my favorite; she is herself, sings perfect, delivers a great show and all the songs are great.

The audience rocks too. Compared to the Las Vegas dvd, i think that one looks great but too perfect, and as some added here - looks kinda robotic to me.

I think the whole vegas thing made her more mature but also it seems that she has grown to the superstarstatus and that made her in some way harder, more perfection-minded and less talking to her fans, as she did in the acds and live in memphis show. When you listen to all taking chances bootlegs you hear her saying the same speech over and over again. It misses a being special feeling... Anyway she still is and will be my greatest singer of all times and I certainly would pay again to see her live in Holland again.

 

As for the ACDS dvd; it has this recording sessions of LTAL and SSDA and those are great added videos.

You see her rehearsing songs, doing her voice practising and all the orchestra in that french album and how everything comes together to make this beautiful album.

And as for the concert; it is great - packed with french tracks but amazing to see and hear.

I and lots and lost Vietnamsese music lovers are fans of ACDS . If there was a chart, ACDS would have been the best (illegal ) selling music vcds at that time, though it's in French and not many Vnese listen to french songs.

One thing that I can't stand on the ACDS concert is that horrible effect they applied on the image through out the concert. Ok, I know it was a terrible weather night to record a concert... but that blury effect does nothing for me.

I don't like ACDS that much, because IMO the stadium was too big.. the applause sounds like rain! LAP has so much more atmosphere! I LOOOOVE the outfits!! but maybe cos I saw Céline for the first time like that!

Ya this dvd is really good, i think you should get it.

 

I just thing its a bit sad though cause it was shot during the time Rene had been sick and he was not on tour with her, and you could sense her sadness I really think. I cant speak French , but I know she speaks at one part of DVD saying Rene is well and thanks everyone 4 there suppert. I feel sorry for her at this concert. Poor thing, she a really strong person.

 

Id love to know what Jean-Jacq (cant spell his name) sais to her in French or sings and she seems kinda sad, u know him and audience sing a little part of some song and she seems very emotional? Anyone know??

 

Oh and her hair is bloody fantastic at this concert.

It's a nice DVD to have. There's some great stuff as "extras", as well as some great performances. The LTAL was the first tour I saw her in... but I saw it at the beginning of the tour, so a lot had changed by the time she hit Paris, but there are certainly some great memories there.

 

Enjoy it! The studio footage is great...

 

It would, however, be awesome if a show from the North American leg of the tour was released.

I love the DVD! It's a great concert and she looks great, especially her hair. Some parts are rather emotional, not that i speak french but i get the jist of what she is saying. However i bought my copy of ebay and although they assured me it wasn't a pirate i think it is which is annoying as i don't really agree with pirating. I think its a pirate because the english subtitles only work when she is singing and not when she it talking, and also the special features don't work, it just says insert disc 2.

 

But the actual concert is great, i'm sure you will love it

about the legal/illegal version: the legal version indeed only has subtitles during the songs, unfortunately not during the talking - which i cannot understand either. The "coat" is a dress made from the official jersey of the french soccer time at that time. They had just won the World Cup in that same stadium, Stade de France.

I just rented this DVD from Netflix and it is AWESOME! I never realized how beautiful her voice is in French. The behind the scenes filming of her music is great Even if you don't speak French the behind the scenes recording is wonderful. You can see where her personality and unique gestures come from. HIGHLY recommended. I still haven't returned my copy to Netflix yet.

I have just watched the copy i bought on Ebay. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

My favourite songs are "S'il suffisait d'aimer" and "My Heart Will Go On" . I did love all of them though.

 

The only thing is i bought a pirated copy without realising it. So subtitles for the frnch songs werent available.

 

Its still great though

 

All the songs on this DVD sound live to me. There are differences with her performances at the show and the album versions

I unintentionally bought a pirated copy of ACDS as well. *sigh* I should have looked harder into this DVD to find that there pirated copies out there and to be more careful. Though when I did ask the seller a question about it, I was ignored so I doubt I'd have been told the truth anyway. lol

 

It's a horribly done pirated copy as far as the cover goes. Wow, it looks soo cheaply done. And misspellings all over the place. At least get the title of the DVD right for crying out loud if nothing else.
