Sofie Posted July 31, 2011 at 07:31 PM Posted July 31, 2011 at 07:31 PM S'il suffisait d'aimer because it's everything you could possibly feel translated into music. It feels like we see Céline, exactly the way she is. There ain't no song that doesn't contribute to the album. I don't have words for songs like that, they're the essence of love. 1 Quote
Turuncan Posted July 31, 2011 at 08:18 PM Posted July 31, 2011 at 08:18 PM For me, this honor belongs to "Let's Talk about Love". It is the album that introduced Celine to me. But the main reason I top it is that it is a real high-quality production with mellow lyrics, beautiful and complete orchestration, luscious melodies; and all the songs complete each other perfectly. I was about 12 when it was released, but I loved it instantly despite its Adult Contemporary content. When I listen to it, I feel very chilled out and peaceful. I also love "Unison", "A New Day Has Come" and "Taking Chances" so much that they are among my favorites as well. "Unison" is a perfect pop-rock album that ultimately reflects the distinctive sound of 1990. "A New Day Has Come" represents a period in my life that was very dark, but at the same time in the wake of finding peace and strength to get over. I remember how I had taken a cold shower in the garden of my summer house with the hose, then listened to this album before I started the day, back in the summer of 2002. "Taking Chances", just like "A New Day Has Come", marks the highly anticipated comeback of Celine and it exactly met my high expectations with its blending rock music with Celine's long-awaited sound and incredible voice. ManuelDiom Posted August 6, 2011 at 04:35 AM Posted August 6, 2011 at 04:35 AM I think mine are Taking Chances because the songs were edgier and she really got yo show off her vocals in the songs when she sang them live. Also I love D'eux because it had some of her best French songs! Even though I have to look up the translated lyrics Quote "Remember the name because you will never forget the voice!"-René Angélilhttp://29.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lq1j1nLPSG1qhpqobo3_500.jpg"Celine, without question IS the greatest singer in the world"-Tommy MottolaMy Celine blog on Tumblr

LukeD Posted June 2, 2015 at 10:40 AM Posted June 2, 2015 at 10:40 AM LTAL is my favorite english album of Celine because her voice was in top shape and the songwriting very polished. So many timeless songs in this album: The Reason, Immortality, Love Is On The Way, When I Need You, My Heart Will Go On, Where Is The Love, Be The Man and so on... Out of her french albums Sans Attendre and S'il Suffisait D'aimer hold a very special place in my heart. Many beautiful songs and melodies in both albums. 1 Quote
crazy4music Posted June 17, 2015 at 10:39 PM Posted June 17, 2015 at 10:39 PM Out of the albums I have, my favorite is "Let's Talk About Love". I wanted that one for a long time because of "My Heart Will Go On" and when I finally got it, I drove everybody around me crazy! I only have the three albums I kept since childhood, and I probably haven't yet heard all of her albums; I've only recently started to discover her beautiful French music, so I'll come back to that later. Overall, I think my favorite English album would be "A New Day Has Come". Those songs fit her voice so well. Amazing stuff I think. Quote Check out what I'm listening to on my Last.fm profile! Music is my world!
lllBeautifulll Posted June 18, 2015 at 12:43 AM Posted June 18, 2015 at 12:43 AM In french, I love Dion chante Plamondon because it's not overproduce, real musicians in studio (not computer etc) and of course D'Eux.In english, Water and a Flame (I like the contempory sounds, and I adoooooore Breakaway) and a tie between Falling into You and The Color of my Love. 1 Quote

Popular Post chocolatechip15 Posted June 19, 2015 at 03:11 AM Popular Post Posted June 19, 2015 at 03:11 AM Falling Into You ..it's the only one where I can say I love every single song and don't skip any. But I think it's as close to a perfect pop album as there could be. And her voice was pure beauty, every single note. - Opening with that cord in IACBTMN . . .the big, over-the-top passion & drama of that song.- Then the soaring sweetness of BYLM- The subtle, sexy, seductiveness of FIY and Seduces Me- The bouncy beats and irrepressible energy of Make You Happy and Declaration of Love- The vocal gymnastics of ABM (probably my least favorite song on the album, but undeniably vocally impressive)- Dreamin' of You and I Love You . . practically forgotten songs in her discography, it seems . .but they are among my very favorites to sing along with .. ("If you do . .just reach out, and I'll be theeeeeeerrrreee) . .Just pure fun.- If That's What it Takes and I don't know .. The English versions of iconic JJG songs . . not quite as good as the French versions, of course, but excellent in and of themselves- RHMH - Probably her best up-tempo song ever- Call The Man - another big, passionate Steinman power ballad- Fly -- overflowing with heartfelt emotion . .one of the few songs where the English version is really just as perfect as the French one. Love, love, love!!! 8 Quote
isurrender Posted June 19, 2015 at 01:46 PM Posted June 19, 2015 at 01:46 PM I'm grateful to Céline because she never delivered the same album all over again. She tried so many styles, she can sing so differently from a song to another and she never repeated the same formula. But still, I think her albums are too save, especially when it comes to production and yes, even vocals sometimes. She can do so many things with her instrument! Also, Céline is the only veteran act I know who has better songs hidden in her albums than her singles ( she has also her part of fillers, don't get me wrong...). Overall, I like her edgy/rockier sound : Miles to go, US, Stand by your side, Surprise surprise, The woman in me, Declaration of love, Map of my heart, Taking Chances, Alone, River deep, Faith, The reason I don't like the bubble-gum songs : that's the way it is, I'm alive, You and I, One heart, Coulda shoulda woulda. To me, her best up-tempo : Did you give enough love, A little bit of love, Make you happy, Naked, Reveal, Loved me back to life, SLS For the future, I'd like she experiments more her urban/r'n'b side ( small try with "Forget me not" ) or a song with multiple vocal lawyers ( hi Mariah!) ( small try with "Superlove") 3 Quote
