Love, Posted October 10, 2008 at 02:01 PM Posted October 10, 2008 at 02:01 PM LOL, Seb! This song is better than Celine's two Reggae attempts of "Treat Her Like a Lady" and "Beautiful Boy." Quote
SimplyCeline Posted October 10, 2008 at 05:03 PM Posted October 10, 2008 at 05:03 PM (edited) I was scanning down the list and was like, that looks like a babs lyrics! And viola! Yeah, its a cool song. I quite like the butterfly album. Grandma's hands is cool too i think. High as hell though. Edited October 10, 2008 at 05:04 PM by SimplyCeline Quote

firebird Posted October 16, 2008 at 05:33 PM Posted October 16, 2008 at 05:33 PM Actually I always think she was at her peak in the 70ies vocally, that's when she mastered her voice perfectly and it was before she went down the road of polished, soulless overproduction. Of course the 60ies are still her best period, but her voice always amazes me from the 70ies. Too bad she wasted that on some horrible records. If you want good songs from the 70ies try: Crying Time, Your The Top (from What's Up Doc), How Lucky Can You Get, Lazy Afternoon, Sweet Inspiration-Where You Lead (from Live at the Forum), One Less Bell/A House Is Not A Home or Since I Fell For You. Guava Jelly - boring fluff, but isn't every singer entitled to have one of those?! Quote

Sayyed bud, "Make You Happy" was definitely more Euro Pop than Caribbean Pop Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted October 22, 2008 at 09:13 AM Posted October 22, 2008 at 09:13 AM I remember listening to this song as a five year old and loving it! I had NO IDEA what it meant! I still love the song! BUTTERFLY was one of Barbra s bet and most different works from that decade. Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
Macaronie Posted October 22, 2008 at 03:15 PM Posted October 22, 2008 at 03:15 PM 'Make You Happy' is noted as Raggae-Rock. It's far from Euro pop. Quote
