minniemare5 Posted October 9, 2008 at 03:30 AM Posted October 9, 2008 at 03:30 AM Not sure where to post this, but does anyone know the best way to buy cheap airline tickets within the U.S? Is there a specific airline or website to use. The cheapest I've found so far is through Orbitz. I am assuming many of you have traveled to Celine before and may know the cheapest way to do it. Thanks! Deborah Quote
sceavis Posted October 9, 2008 at 03:47 AM Posted October 9, 2008 at 03:47 AM I like to use kayak.com they are pretty good ad finding the deals. Quote
stevethefan Posted October 9, 2008 at 03:54 AM Posted October 9, 2008 at 03:54 AM Yeah both those sites are good. Kayak is good because it basically shows you the prices on all the other sites, like Orbitz, Travelocity. Expedia etc. Most of the time the prices you find will be similar on all the sites. But sometimes, you will see a price that is pretty good and then a week later it's cheaper, but you really never know when if the price will change. Usually the price goes up the closer to the dates you are choosing to leave. One thing I've used a lot are the "last minute" deals on sites like Travelocity and Orbitz, but I think it usually includes the hotel. Sometimes those deals are really good. Quote
KimboCosmo Posted October 9, 2008 at 04:05 AM Posted October 9, 2008 at 04:05 AM I used Expedia.com for my Vegas trip, and it was REALLY REALLY cheap and included the plane tickets, car rental AND the hotel for an entire week. You just have to look around, sometimes it is high and sometimes you can find a really cheap deal...if you do, don't pass it up, because you may not ever see it that cheap again! Edwin Posted October 9, 2008 at 04:41 PM Posted October 9, 2008 at 04:41 PM I used Name Your Own Price on Priceline and I saved quite a bit on hotel at least. The airfare wasn't that much cheaper than the published air fare. Basically I compared the prices from Hotwire and used that to make a bid on Priceline. You can also buy directly from Priceline without bidding/naming your own price. Quote
