What are some good programs to make wallpapers and stuff?

celinesbabeinchrist, there are several that you can use. Some people in this section of the forum have used the Paint program that's built into Windows, but it is very limited. If you can afford it, Adobe Photoshop is one of the best, but it's expensive.

 

I use Photoshop and recently, I have used a freeware program called GIMP (I know, silly name), but it stands for Graphic Image Manipulation Program. But it's free and it's pretty powerful, though not quite as good as Photoshop. But you can't beat the price. There is another one that's free called PhotoPlus 6 and, for $9.99, you can upgrade to PhotoPlus 8. This one is pretty good, too. You can check with Soloni (big graphics poster in this section) about PhotoPlus 6. I think she has used it.

It takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hand of it, it's not too bad. If you need any pointers, let me know. I have been working in it quite a bit lately, so I might be able to help you out if you get stuck.

lamourpourCeline, I'm curious as to what you mean by "smart enough". Is there a way to get Photoshop CS3 for free? If so, I would definitely be interested.
