fabtasticfoo Posted October 2, 2008 at 03:44 PM Posted October 2, 2008 at 03:44 PM NBC has just announced an hour-long live variety show starring Rosie O'Donnell, which will take place November 26, and could turn into a regular series. This will reinvent the idea of what a variety show is for 2008," NBC vp alternative Craig Plestis said. "There's very few performers willing to put themselves out there live. It makes it more TiVo-proof, and it's something none of the cable networks can do. I can't imagine this without Celine! Let's keep our fingers crossed... Quote

Lou555 Posted October 2, 2008 at 10:42 PM Posted October 2, 2008 at 10:42 PM Thanks for sharing this great news. I love Rosie and it would be so cool so see them together, I'd like that a lot. Hope Rosie invites her and more importantly let's hope Céline has time to go. I wish Rosie all the success she deserves, to me she's a very talented, funny and intelligent woman. Quote

venezia7 Posted October 3, 2008 at 12:58 AM Posted October 3, 2008 at 12:58 AM I so hope she does invite Celine onto the show. The interviews Celine did with Rosie were the best, so funny as well! I really hope she does get invited and has time. Quote http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e381/goldengryffindor/Celinedionsig-1.jpg
dancer105 Posted October 3, 2008 at 01:24 AM Posted October 3, 2008 at 01:24 AM oh yes. i agree the best and my favorite interviews were of celine and rosie just being themselves and making us laugh but could you imagine if they did have celine on the show (which i hope they do) they would need the whole entire thing just for celine and rosie to catch up, and with how much celine loves to talk lol it could take a while but i really do wish to see celine make an appearance!!! kathy4 Posted October 3, 2008 at 11:48 AM Posted October 3, 2008 at 11:48 AM thanks for telling us i loved the rosie show and i hope that celine will be on the new show. Quote http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp339/Mia_84/Tumlum/Perfume/celine-dion-chic.jpg
idroveallnight Posted October 5, 2008 at 02:04 AM Posted October 5, 2008 at 02:04 AM I don't think she will be asked. This first episode will likely determine if Rosie can make this show a regular series...and that will be of course determined by the ratings. Unless there's some overnight miracle where all people suddenly love Celine Dion, I find it very unlikely that Celine's presence will result in any increase of ratings whatsoever. If the show becomes a regular series, she will probably be asked. Speaking of ratings...does anyone know the total ratings from Celine's CBS special that aired in February? Quote
