Please help

Hi there

 

I have downloaded content from the Multimedia section on this site but none of my programmes will play the mpeg format

 

I just wondered what programme would open it or whether its better to burn it to a disc rather.

Iya! My laptop was like that until i downloaded another plugin the only thing is i cant remember what its called but i found that oncf i downloaded realplayer videos worked really well! Hope that helps x x

it happened to me too. accdg to my It friend the format for those video is mpeg 4 (i can't assure the accuracy) and it would only play if the format is mpeg 2.

 

so, what i did apparently was to download "any video converter" to convert it in mpeg 2 (as he instructed me). try to do the same thing. just search the application at the web and you can see a lot of those.

I had the same kind of thing,videos i had downloaded were in the wrong format and wouldn't go onto my ipod. I was told to download a program of the web called videora, and that converts the videos. It has easy to follow instructions on how to do it. Hope this helps, sorry if it's completely irrelivant to you

you can just go and download a program called VLC media player. its free

I downloaded VLC media player and can play it now.

I just wanted to find out if i transfer my downloads to a dvd disc will it play in my DVD player?

No, unless you transcode them to DVD standard.
