AngelofMusic98 Posted October 1, 2008 at 07:22 PM Posted October 1, 2008 at 07:22 PM (edited) Are there any phans of Michael Crawford & Phantom of the Opera here? I'm a huge phan of Michael Crawford.. I've been a fan for 7 years now; I love him as the Phantom. Michael helped me to make a turn around in my educational life. I quit high school several years ago; I felt very discouraged about taking the GED tests. I decided to write him a letter about my problems I was having. Two or three months later, I got a reply. He encouraged me to get my GED. He told me I would do brilliantly on the test, and that I could do it. He was right; I passed the test with flying colors. Now, I am in college working towards a degree in Computers. He's currently working on a new show for PBS and a follow on tour; I can't wait!! I saw Phantom of the Opera about 3 years ago in Atlanta at the Fox theatre. It was wonderful!!! It was one of the best shows I've been to. wolfepaw Posted October 1, 2008 at 08:19 PM Posted October 1, 2008 at 08:19 PM Hi, AngelofMusic98 (Lisa)!! I, too, am a Michael Crawford fan. I first saw him in "Hello, Dolly" with Barbra Streisand in 1969. I thought he was marvelous. I haven't seen Phantom of the Opera, but I have seen scenes of it with him and, I agree, he was wonderful. I'm so glad that he inspired you to turn your life around. It was so nice of him to write you back. Not many celebrities of his stature would take the time to do that. It makes me think even more of him. You go, girl, and good luck in your chosen field of computers. I wish computers were available when I was in school (graduated from high school in 1967) because that's what I would have gone into in a heartbeat. I spend all my time on computers now, especially computer graphics. Quote http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k85/wolfepaw/Celine%20Dion/CelineTCinGermanySiglayerstrimmed.jpg

I am very happy he wrote me 3 years ago. I owe him so much for what he did for me. I hope my dream about meeting him will come true soon. It would mean the world to me. Thank you so much for the good luck wishes. Everything with college is going well. I love computer graphics too.. PS: I love Hello Dolly too. Have you've seen him in Some Mothers Do Ave Em? It was a 70s British sitcom. I love Barnum. I have the dvd. I'm also a huge fan of Sarah too. I saw her in concert about 4 years ago. wolfepaw Posted October 1, 2008 at 10:37 PM Posted October 1, 2008 at 10:37 PM When I clicked on the link you posted, I noticed that he also did Power of Love. I need to go back and listen to that now. I did not see Some Mothers Do Ave Em or Barnum. I'll have to see if I can get a hold of SMDAE. I love British sitcoms. They seem to be so much funnier that US sitcoms. The British are clever and subtle. Of course, my favorite Brit comedians of all time were Monty Python's Flying Circus. We still get reruns here in the States on BBC America and I still think they are absolutely hysterical!! I like Sarah Brightman a lot, too. Did you see her duets with Josh Groban (another of my favorites) doing "There For Me" and "All I Ask of You"? AngelofMusic98 Posted October 27, 2008 at 06:22 PM Author Posted October 27, 2008 at 06:22 PM Hi everyone, I would like to inform you all that the group has moved now to a different group website. I'm currently trying to get some of the information and photos onto the new website. You can find the new group @ http://www.michaelcrawford.co.nr Please bookmark the address. The new group has almost the same features as MSN groups does. I'm very upset to see MSN groups closing in February 2009. They originally moved this groupt to a different group website, but I didn't like how it was set up, so I moved the group over to another website. I strongly encouraged you to join the new group. I'm not going to delete this group. All of the information from this old group will be on Multiply, MSN's partner website for online groups. Please help us get our original group number back. Thank you. Lisa Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v36/Lisa98/atlantabanner.jpg I'm seeing Celine on January 17th, 2009 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta,GA! YAY!!!
