I don't know what to make of all of this... It's still rather confusing.

But I am glad that Oscar got back in touch with Peggi and was able to give his side of the story.

Whether or not he is telling the truth now, it will be hard for some people here to trust him and that is such a shame.

 

I really do not know if there are three people or not. But I do believe that Oscar is real. I see no reason to treat him like a villain because, as has already been pointed out, he was never creepy or unpleasant. WDT is another matter but GD and celineargento were very nice members. I was certainly flattered by celineargeto's attention (how ironic that she might not even exist - too good to be true!) and GD was civil and generous in many ways. That is why I still find it hard to believe. Which is why I think it is indeed very possible that there are in fact three different members. I still don't know why they would claim to be strangers or why celineargento would hit on GD. Part of me still thinks it was a way of silencing the people who question the sexuality of men who like Celine. Open flirting would solve the problem.

 

As for the rest, I don't know... Hope it becomes clearer in a day or two. It struck me before just how frightening the possibilities are with the internet. You can spend months chatting with somebody, build up a relationship and then it turns out that person might not exist. I'm sure we're not dealing with anything as serious as that here, but still, it's crazy...

Hi guys! This is absolutely puzzling to me as it is to everybody else.

 

Like Tony said, I do believe this Oscar guy exists and he shared so much passion about Celine as everybody else here does. And he developed true friendships with several people and was never arrogant.

 

However, the WallsDoTalk character is the one that confuses me the most. In his profile he typed "I'm a nomad," and then in his Meet&Greet introduction, he stated that he was traveling through different South American countries. It's rather strange that he ended up in the same dentist's office as Oscar, don't you think?

The new 4th account is Oscar's wife, who created the account recently because she has always liked Celine and knew Oscar was on the forum a lot, so she wanted to see for herself what he liked about it so much. I guess, no one is going to believe any of this anyway, but I thought I would share with you some things I have found out, thanks so mucho mas to LuisMa, who would put Sherlock Holmes to shame.

 

I shared with Luis some of the information that Oscar gave me and since I couldn't read Spanish, when I Googled some of it, I couldn't understand a word of it. Luis, sweetheart that he is, kindly offered to help and translate and go see if he could find any more info. I will not go into all the details but the gist of his "investigation" is:

1. There is indeed a dentist in Cordoba Argentina with Oscar's name (don't want to share his last name until he agrees I can - I did share it with Luis in a PM).

2. He is a devoted Celine fan. See this from Luis:

From 2002, there is someone who gives thanks to Oscar, and it is a Brazilian Celine Dion page. Oscar IS indeed from Argentina and a devoted Celine fan.

Luis found out some more than this, but I don't want to get into the details because it would give a lot of Oscar's personal info, but suffice it to say - Oscar is real! The info he has shared with the forum and with me has been spot on. I think that WallsDoTalk and celineargento were playing with him and he got into the game, though I don't think any of it was intentionally malicious. He did not say ugly things about anyone or about Celine. I think he's real and I guess a lot of you will think I'm deluded, but I guess, since I had some personal correspondence with him, that I am more inclined to believe in him.

 

I hope you don't all get disgusted with me for continuing to look into this, but if it were me, I would be happy to know that someone was on my side and trying to dig out the truth - as they say in the X-Files - the truth is out there.

Thank you, Peggi. This confirms what I suspected from the beginning. Oscar was too real and consistent for me to believe that he did not exist. He was a member for a long time before the others made an appearance. His love of Celine and Josh was genuine and it is clear that he is devoted to his family. I could never believe it was all lies.

 

I'm just so sorry that this has happened because even if he is allowed back into the forum few people will want to associate with him and I suspect that he does not want to return after all this speculation.

I am the only TRUE Celine fan. I joined originally a long time ago. Nati

likes Celine music a lot, but she's a Queen die-hard fan. She joined the

forum basically to see what was what kept me so hypnotized about it. She

liked it here and stayed.

Jose only joined to piss me of, only a few months ago. He doesn't even have

a Celine album. He knows a lot of her songs because of me (we were

classmates). He's not from Croatia.

He started calling me different names in the "Pa'bailar" topic, trying to

make me lose it (which he almost did) and then just started to piss everyone

off.

Maybe I should have done something, but forgive me, I found it amuzing and

funny. He always had a blast doint so.

 

I have no idea what a IP is or whatever is called...all I know is we share

the same internet connection by a hub or something and yes, we pretty much

shared the same time when loging in.

 

I really can't believe everyone assumed I had a multiple personality or

whatever. It's nonsense.

It makes me really sad to be banned from the forum, but you can be sure I

WON'T TRY TO COME BACK....EVER. I just can't stand it there. I will log in

as a guess every now and then to find out about Celine, that's it.

Well, yesterday my wife came to visit (she was aware of everything in here,

and how much time I devoted to the forum) and just wanted to be a part of

it. She visits me from time to time, and felt it could be fun. She really

likes Celine.

By the way, I am married to her since 2003, her name is Silvina and we have

two children, Pilar and Maximo. Maxi was born last June the 6th. all that is

Why in the name of God would I invent all that? I really can't understand

Jose (Ivan if you prefer) joined the forum with the only intention to piss everyone off, especially myself. He got a warning not a long time ago, and it was a highlight for him!!! he is still enjoying all the mess in the forum.

To be honest I'm not surprised to see that there is strong evidence pointing towards the fact that Oscar exists and that his profession as valid etc....

 

But, I still hold the opinion that the other 3 accounts were infact created by him and were operated by him. I don't think there was anything 'sick' or 'psychotic' about it, just a bored person amusing themselves and creating interest at the expense of fooling others.

 

If what I believe is correct, and by some chance Oscar is allowed back onto the forum, of course I will be civil to him. But as many other members have already expressed, there will always be an air of suspicion around him.

Tony, thank you so much for your support. And, no, he does not want to come back and I don't blame him, after all that has been said. I just hope he doesn't stop communicating with me, although I said some pretty crappy things about him, too, at first. But the more I thought about it, the more I felt that there was more to this than meets the eye. So I figured, I'd ask him personally and then I would find out as much as I could. And with Luis' help, I did get more info. Luis was such a dear and I could never have gotten the information without him.

 

I guess this is probably the end of it, unless Oscar agrees to let me share his email with you guys. And I will be sure to send him your regards, Tony, if I get the opportunity to send him another email. (If he emails me back).

Ok so if I'm happy to believe Oscar's story and credibility that may be fine, but rest assured there's a part of me that's still hurt by him or the others for not admitting that they know each other. True that Oscar was lovely to me this whole experience on the forum, but there's something that doesn't sit well with me, I don't understand why they couldn't have said "I'm Oscar's friend" when they joined... The fact that Oscar has contacted the admins and offered an explanation to other members personally suggests to me that he is telling the truth. He says he will never visit here again but he has at least tried to clear his name. If it were me and I had created several accounts and 'deceived' people or whatever, I would be horrified once I was exposed and never visit the forum again. I certainly would not offer an explanation to admin and I would never reply to personal emails. I would want to forget the whole thing.

 

However, if I felt that I had been misjudged and people were led to believe unpleasant (and untrue) things about me, I would do everything in my power to offer an explanation and clear my name. Just like Oscar has. He had no reason to do this. If he really did create all those accounts, he has been caught and that should have brought an end to it. The only reason for him to contact the admin would be if he was innocent.

 

People seem to forget that neither grobandion nor celineargento were ever rude or obnoxious, they never tried to stir up trouble and only offered helpful and thoughtful posts. Even if they are the same person, what bad has actually been done? No rumours were started, no offense was caused... For all intents and purposes they were two different users. Why should we feel deceived?

RIGHT ON, TONY!!! It seems that some people would rather believe the worst about someone who never really hurt anyone, and that kinda scares me.
