Thank you guys for the pictures and reviews! I'm curious about the fact she didn't sing The show must go on... Well, but as I haven't been here as frequently as I used to be, I guess I just missed something... :ermm:

The Queen medley has been dropped since she came back after being ill. Doubt it if it'll return now.

That makes me sad, because I was really looking forward to seeing that. It's a shame too. I hate when artists drop numbers from shows as they get closer to end of the tour. I wanted to see the full Taking Chances tour like everyone else got to.

Having said that, the show last night was amazing. You could totally tell that Celine was having a good time. My Love was so beautiful. She really looked like she was about to burst into tears while she was singing. All By Myself was incredible and brought the whole place to its feet. I don't know why she never did that during A New Day, it was a show stopper!

She did all my favorites from Taking Chances, and I have to admit that I teared up a little during Taking Chances. Seeing her do the lame telephone thing during "Talk to me, like lovers do" and the air guitar made me think of when the album had first been released and I was high on new album fever. To see her do all of that in front of me made it really hit home that I was seeing her again.

The stage set up was fantastic. She was able to maximize the number of seats sold, and give everyone a good seat.

Such a great show, and so different from A New Day. It was nice to have her come visit us, instead of us going to see her.

Thank you for posting terrific pics as well as the warm hearted review. Quite often I have wondered if most of the negative reviews might have been much kinder if the critics had an opportunity to actually meet Celine before a concert. I really believe that her incredible energy and charm would melt even the worst of them. Not to mention looking into those big brown eyes!

I remember reading an article from a critic during the LTAL tour who had the opportunity to meet Celine beforea concert. He admitted he intended to do a very negative review of the concert; a chew her up and spit her out type of review. But then he met her.....and from that moment on he did not have the heart to be cruel in his review because it would be like, Harpooning Bambi.... :innocent: Very telling as to the effect of what meeting Celine in person can do to a persons heart! That's one beautiful and goofy woman we all follow!!

Thanks for the reviews and pics. She's just beautiful :) She does seem happier and more relaxed- hopefully that means she's feeling better after having time off when she was sick, and having a little break over Christmas.

I wouldn't be too surprised if she's relieved in a way, that the tour is almost over. I know she loves performing, but at the start of the tour everything seemed so stressful, having just finished 5 years in Vegas, she must have been exhausted and the year ahead probably seemed quite stressful and daunting.

Last nights show was of course amazing. She did tell the same story as the one in san antonio but thats okay because shes funny when she tells it. Theres nothing i can say that nobody has said before but simply amazing! :flowers: Of course i didnt expect much of a change with the two shows but the crowd was larger. Still wasnt enough for me!! Im thinking about going to the Omaha show :)

Thanks for this Thomas!!

Yeah its weird to see, and this is a great performance.

But I have to say at the start you can see about 6 ppl infront row, looking around or chatting while Celine stands right infront of them singing.... how bloody rude.

Obviously rich people, who can afford those seats but generally dont care about the show or Celine!!!!!!

It just annoys me as huge fans would kill for these seats, and then you see ppl like this, sorry maybe its just me....

I agree with you on that, but sometimes it just happens that the person who's gonna write the critics or something like that has pre-formed concept about her and won't change it even if the president told him to. There was this stupid brazilian guy once that wrote a book on all the celebrities he had already interviewed and he said terrible things about Céline just because he didn't like her since he first heard a song of hers! It was lame indeed, and we were all very angry here, but I guess that's just what it is. People who don't know s*** on what they have to talk about!

And I'm very happy to see that this review was really good!!

I think those rude people at the front might have been a little intimidated by Celine being right in their lap like that and trying to act cool about it, but I have to agree it was really rude the way they acted. Truly I was astonished at the lack of enthusiasm by the fans on this and the opposite side when she was so close to them. From my point of view this was on my left, and I can tell you when she was close to us, we were standing and going nuts. Edited by galanie

What's frustrating is that most fans can't afford those seats. So they go to whoever has enough money to buy them. Probably sucks for Celine as well. I'm sure, as an artist, she'd rather have fans up close than people who can afford it. Sadly, artists are not in charge of ticket prices.

Hello all - new to the boards (thanks to someone sending me a link to the forum in response to my youtube videos). Thomas - thanks for finding my clip and posting it here for more fans to see! Plenty more where that came from - check out www.youtube.com/laurluvs2bowl for the rest of my footage (plus other random things other than celine).

I was very amused/fascinated by what i saw when i was able to capture in the footage the audience members that you mentioned. To be honest, as with many concerts, a lot of people in the best seats got those seats for free through another source and don't even truly want to be there for the whole performance, let alone have nearly the same fire as die-hard fans of the artist. I paid $50 to sit up high in the sky that night and while it would would have been nice to sit closer, i don't feel like i missed anything at this particular show by sitting where i did. The only issue was the black contraption obstructing my (and many others') view of the screen. Whoever thought that up should be fired, even though it was only affecting certain of us in the upper level.

I disagree with the comment concerning artists not setting their ticket prices - they may not pick an actual number but the costs that go into their production (which the artist themself is the main component of) absolutely sets how much tickets are. An artist will not choose to tour and take the risk of not earning as much as they signed on for, especially someone of Celine's caliber. I'm just being honest here people. It's no accident that Celine had a center stage setup in order to sell more tickets and not have any stage obstructions for any seat in the stadium.

Sorry if this is rambling - bottom line is, i now fully realize that Celine LOVES her fans more than anything, and i'm glad i got to see arguably the best talent and kindest legend out there strut her stuff once again in Houston!

Your videos are great. Very good quality, good zoom lens, and very steady shot for bootleg videos. Which cam did you use? How did you hold the cam so steady?

Thank you for the high praise! The camera i used is the Canon Powershot SX110IS and i highly recommend it. As far as the steadiness - i actually got a bit wobbly at times on some of the footage but i just tried to keep my arms steady and stay focused both on her and how she was looking on the screen! Thanks again and keep enjoying!

Dion was clearly pumped to be onstage, and the energy was infectious during Taking Chances, a recent hit that updated her sound a bit (and samples the Eurythmics' Here Comes the Rain Again).

To be sure, Dion tried to hip things up a few times. She shimmied against gypsy-esque dancers during the Middle Eastern-influenced Eyes On Me, dressed in a flowing cape and a PG-rated dominatrix outfit.

so what part exactly has sampling for that Eurythmics song?
