Purchasing tickets online

Has anyone purchased tickets online through any company other than TICKETMASTER and/or TICKET EXCHANGE? I have seen some lower prices on other web sites than either TICKETMASTER or TICKET EXCHANGE have. But I am not sure if the other companies are legit or just scamming.

I have not bought tickets, at least yet, on anything other than Ticketmaster or Ticketexchange.

 

It's hard to say how some of these alternative ticket sites are. I've heard mixed reviews. At first I heard Stubhub was ok but then I read some criticism of it. The only thing I worry about with Stubhub is that you are relying on the seller to send you the tickets on time. I guess if you buy them early enough it's should be ok but I would not trust it for last minute tickets.

 

One thing I've been noticing since I often scan many of these sites is that they all seem to show the same or similar tickets! I'll see one site show a pair of tickets in a certain row/aisle and then see the exact same ones and quantity listed on many others. I think they just list the same things and then if you buy them they just get the tickets from the other sites. I'm not sure I trust that.

 

The other thing you have to watch out for is that they will add other fees. For example it will show a ticket for $150 but then when you go to buy them they charge another fifty dollars for the service charge.
