Love, Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 On September 14, 2008, I attended a Broadway performance of "The Lion King" at the famous Minksoff Theatre in New York City, and my life was forever changed. When the film was released a few years back, it has remained one of my most favorite films, and when I experienced with this musical with my own eyes, ears and heart - I was captured. It was truly an amazing experience! Allie Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 My aunt and uncle went to see it at the Pantages in LA a few years ago, and they loved it so much that they bought tickets for my dad and I. I think it was around 2002, I was about 10 and we had 7th row off to the side, but it was amazing and definitely an experience I'll never forget. I would go again in a heartbeat. Quote
freakyali Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 I was in NYC the first week of september and my hotel was in the street behind the one with the "The Lion King" Theater ..I wanted to go there so much, but I had to spend a lot of money for the concert in Philly and so I couldn't go to see that show too.I can't wait to be back in NY to see it! It was just SO absolutely magical! :wub: There was just such a great balance, simplicity, beauty and elegance within the production that just made it so "tangible," so heartfelt, and emotionally satisfying.
