Ok well i am editing a video for a school video competition.

I have all my clips imported into movie maker. Including some interviews.

Here is the technical bit. I want to have the talking from the interview clips, as like a voice over when another clip is going. But I don't no how to get audio of the interview clip.

Please help me, im probably being really stupid  and its actually really simple but i can't figure it out. :hmm:

Any suggestion would be appreciated greatly  .

I have the same problem!

Do you mean, you want to turn down the original volume and narrate the video with your voice over?

Sorry i probably wasn't very clear. I have lots of videos including some of an interview. I want to take the voice from the interview (its a movie file in movie maker) and have that as a voice over when another clip is playing (obviously with the sound turned of on the clip playing).

I just for the love of god can't seem to work out how to do it though

Would really appreciate any suggestions.

I would suggest converting the interview video file into audio (hundreds of programs available on the net to do this) then insert that as an audio file into movie maker, with the volume turned down on the video clips you want the interview audio to play over.... :)

Oh! I get what you are trying to do, buttt Windows movies maker doesnt allow you to adjust the volume for different parts, if that makes sense?

I've made a few videos that I want to turn the original volume up for a few seconds, then turn it down for music to go over it - but it basically has a volume control for the whole movie, which is why alot of videos peple have made just have a song over the top of all the clips compiled together.

I just read that back and I know what I'm talking about, but it doesn;t make much sense haha.
