Hi everyone, I'm Max from Russia and I'm wonder if Celine will visit our country soon? I quess she have never been in Russia, but I think it's the great place to give a concert... I really hope she come here and give awesome performances as she always do .

lately there was a rumour mentioning about april 09 (after china). do not believe it, as it seems that the tour will end on feb 14... i would also like to see Celine in RUS. I am from Moldova and would love to come to RUS for a concert (due to proximity)......

I keep my fingers crossed for all of you in Russia, Greece, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Romania and all those countries that have been missing during the current world tour. I believe Céline will visit your countries one day!! Even at the beginning of this year I wouldn't believe that she would come to Poland and... she did! So why not coming to Russia, Greece, Hungary etc. in the future!

 

One of my very first Céline fan fellow was a girl from Russia named Valida. It has been a long time ago, maybe 13 years ago? She's been a very dedicated fan and she also hoped so much for Céline to come to Russia one day as she couldn't afford to go to any of her shows abroad... I wonder if she's still fan? I lost contact to her a long time ago - maybe someone of you knows her and can give me any info?

 

Anyway, I totally understand how do you feel! I've been waiting 15 years for Céline to come to Poland and that dream became true so just don't stop dreaming!

what is democracy then? and who should say this is right or wrong... russia has developed its own "democracy" as import of export of democracies from somewhere else is just a crap. I do not think that Rene or Celine read the level of democratizations all around the world and decide to go to so-called democratic countries (how democratic is EU?). of course, this topic could never end. Moreover, Moscow is a very rich capital and the rationale involving developement again is wrong...

 

I think that Celine is unpopular in Russia (appearences on TV or magazines is almost "0").....and this might be the reason

 

maybe one of the oligarchs will pay one day for a private concert????

 

money also counts.... madonna's tickets to moscow were one of the most expensive and in the end the room was not filled.... this is another part of the coin - Russia bussiness...

If Céline would have choosen her world tour stops in terms of democracy, human rights and poverty, she shouldn't have visited half of the countries she visited. Enought about this.

 

I think she would easily fill a big venue in Russia. You may think she's not so popular there, because you don't see fans in your 'neighbourhood' but I'm sure there are a lot of her fans - like actually everywhere in the world.

Do you have any Russian-speaking fan forum dedicated to her?

But even if there's no forum or the forum has less members, that's still not a factor, because there may be loads of fans who just stil don't have much opportunity to use internet - like my old friend whom I mentioned above.

In fact i never really understood what are the criteria to go to one country and not to another one...

for example with this tour it doesnt get into my mind that ''she'' left all the iberian paeninsula outside of this world our... Spain and Portugal... she has so many fans in both countries... TC got gold status in both like many other of her albuns... and here specifically she was coming in 99 but than canceled the concert because of renes cancer... and since then we are waiting... its a bit frustrating to me that i had to go to London to see her... Madonna for example gave the biggest concert of her sticky & sweet tour till the moment here in Lisbon days ago... 75000 people!!!

is Celine afraid not to get a stadium full or what??? we are a small country but we love the artists and specialy to see them live! Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona... just ignored like that...

as to Russia... Ok that she is not so popular there as i know... but even tho... if she doesnt give a shot she will never be... Moscow is 15 million people city... for sure people would come to see her! Also in Greece she has lots of fans...

thank u for these sites. 2 do not work, one was up-dated a few years ago (2002).... i've clearly mentioned that i judge her popularity in terms of tv appeareances and publications..... not too many... however, some radio stations stil have her in playlists, with old songs.... this is great

 

should acknowledge that the russian forum is rather active...

helios.apollon, I quess that criteria you talking about is CDs and DVDs sells. Pirates are the biggest problem in Russia in musical industry . So, I think this is the problem that Celine (and many others) has never been in Moscow (I even don't say Russia).
