THANKS SO MUCH FOR REMEMBERING ME! :flowers:

 

Me, Jessi, and the kitties survived Hurricane Ike this morning.

Winds gusted to over 100 MPH during the night - but we never lost electricity or cable, so we were able to monitor the storm via TV.

A HUGE limb from my old oak tree hit my truck, leaving a dent in the bed, but that was the worst of the damage.

We still have HEAVY winds and rain and are under a tornado warning.

Law enforcement issued a parish-wide curfew since 10 am yesterday until further notice, so this means we can't leave our house until they give the "all clear". (Which may not be until tomorrow)

I will have to delay officially celebrating for a few days - but am happy I lived to see #46!

(YES, I'm OLD!! :rofl: )

It will definitely be one to remember!

Yeah, I'm glad you've been safe from the hurricanes so far too. Bummer to be kept in your house on your b-day. What are you planning to do once you can leave to celebrate?
