Does anyone know the gross to date, or per shows since the tour started? :)

really? Billboards Boxscore is every week!

Over 2 MILLION dollars for ONE concert!!!!!!!!!!! I'd love to have a tiny bit of that! WOW that is sooo much money! I wonder if that includes merchandise or just the ticket sales...

On the chart their numbers have to be wrong on the capacity because not every seat is filled/not everyone comes that gets a ticket (WHY wouldn't you attend a Celine concert if you had the chance! But then again emergencies do happen!)

Max24... I do not think the Buffalo concert was sold out... they gave me the wrong seat (which I found out when I picked up my ticket at the will call) and the section I was supposed to be in was sold out but there were quite a few other seats available.

Anyway, from the info we got from billboard so far:

Venue / City / Tickets Sold / Gross Revenue

Brisbane Entertainment Centre / Brisbane / 7,835/13,156 (59%) / $1,719,321

Rod Laver Arena / Melbourne / 12,266/15,431 (79%) / $2,314,928

Members Equity Stadium / Perth / 10,086/15,613 (65%) / $1,648,288

Acer Arena / Sydney / 20,605/21,752 (95%) / $4,176,200

Sportpaleis Merksem / Anvers 45,352/46,955 (97%) / $7,619,814

TD Banknorth Garden / Boston / 32,493/32,493 (100%) / $3,813,519

Bell Centre / Montreal 167,957/167,957 (100%) / $23,135,338

Air Canada Centre / Toronto / 36,122/36,122 (100%) / $4,776,796

Wachovia Center / Philadelphia / 18,061/18,061 (100%) / $2,246,374

Total: 350,777/367,540 (95%) / $51,450,578

Out of the above there are 51 shows not included which is likely to mean the tour has grossed well over $100 Million so far. If You average each one out taking the lowest ticket price and multiplying it with the capacity, in mosts cases you might be looking at an average of $2 Million per concert, even those that have been half full grossed around $1.5 million as per above. Dublin had 65,000 at no less than $115 (£65) per ticket which is $7.3 Million. Amsterdam was 50,000 with a ticket prices of $115 (£65) which is $5.7 million. Do the maths and you will see how high we are looking. Im going to do some digging around and post again.

Mine is a guestimate but I would say we must be around a gross to this point of £150 Million possibly even more.

Im sure most of you will think I am wrong but quiet sure of my calculations, it takes time to go through but its possible.

Do a search on Wikipedia for "Taking Chances Tour" In most cases Wikipedia provides allot of great information about tours. I know it has a great deal of information about Celine's Tour. Not sure if it talks about the gross. But check it out!

Hope this helps you.

Soldout shows means all the tickets for those shows are sold. It doesnt matter if all the ones who purchase tickets attend the shows or not.

Just remember, the totals from the European tour and other international shows will not be included at the end of the year when Billboard makes a list of the top grossing tours, their lists only include North American shows. They may list international shows weekly, but the final gross only includes NA shows and it is called something like top Top North American Tours of 2008.

But with just these few totals we have so far, the tour has already grossed $35 million. Celine's tour will for sure end in the top five. I mean look at those Montreal totals alone, that certainly will help in the final gross!

Supposedly, if this tour touches the $300-M mark, Celine will be the only singer to have grossed one billion dollars in overall ticket sales. :w00t:
