Nmj Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Our Holiday of Ramadon Begins today For Those of you who dont know what Ramadon is, it is a United Muslim Traditonwhere we all fast from sun-up to sun-down . No food, No Water , No Chewing Gum ect. all day longThe Reason for this is to appreciate our lives to be greatful that we have a great life and are thankful for all the great stuff we have in our lives. It lasts one month and it goes in cycles NOT like Christmas where it comes the 25th of December every year . Soon it will be in Summer and as we all know sun down in summer is around 10:00 pm here. This is a very challenging, but VERY rewarding tradition that will Live on FOREVER. -Nmj Quote

Bralo20 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Thanks for sharingI really appreciate little things like this, like the religion of every one of usI'm a catholic, by the way, and I truly respect ALL religions out there. saludosCan agree with it... Although I have some doubts about this Ramadam. It just doesn't seem healthy, especially when you aren't allowed to drink... I always thought you weren't allowed to eat. I'm also a catholic (but not practicing) and I also respect other religions (my cousin is actually married with a bouddhist) but sometimes I have some doubs about certain things Anyway, congrats Quote ...
