According to Rene among his projects there's a celine's museum!

René Angélil confirme aussi qu'il a dans ses cartons le projet d'un musée Céline Dion, au Québec.

 

À Charlemagne, où elle est née? À Laval, où ils ont élu domicile?

 

«C'est sûr que ça va être dans la région de Montréal, dit l'imprésario. On considère deux ou trois endroits, on a même des offres, c'est assez important. Ceux qui en auront envie pourront venir le visiter, ils y trouveront toutes sortes de choses en rapport avec Céline et sa carrière. C'est sûr que ça va se faire un jour.»

there's a topic about it... that one with the mayor of Charlemagne, didn't he mention it too? it would be really cool! but they have to maintenance it better then the Celine globe

Ms. Dion is the youngest of 14 children, and two of her siblings still live in Charlemagne. It is where her father Adhemar, who died in 2003 at age 80, is buried and where the Maman Dion Foundation, started by her mother Thérèse to help underprivileged children, has its headquarters. The Dion family recently bought back the ancestral house, and Mr. Grenier said there is talk of turning it into a Celine Dion museum, but he thinks that is a couple years off.

 

I read somewhere that the people who live near the Dion house wanted a lot of money for their houses, -which rené wanted to buy to make parking lots or something - and René didn't agree on that... so that's why it's still in early development

I hope I can visit a Céline Dion Museum when I GO to study in Canada sometime in the near future (hopefully that is).

I am sure if this museum is finished and open to the public, it definitly will be one of the most famous places in Canada! Must be writen in the tourist book.

This is so great! Shania Twain has her own 'centre' too and it's an amazing place to go. I'm sure Celine's Museum would be a succes and honour as well

That is cool! I would love to see this happen. But where would the location really be? Anyway doesn't matter where it is I'm making it number one on my list of place I want to visit when I start working

The location hasn't been decided it seems. René got a few offers... Charlemagne? Or Laval where they have a house? That's what the article says... But it says it will be around Montreal.

 

What about their Golf Course? That could be a place for the museum... I guess Charlemagne makes more sense but you never know!
