Hello everyone,

 

I am posting to tell you about the organization of a trip to Québec in February 2009 to attend Céline’s last show, and for you to take the advantage of show tickets that we were able to get.

 

First of all, for those who don’t’ know me, my name is Fanny and I am organizing this trip with Line, another fan of Céline. I won’t hide the fact that this project was created by “the other forum”.

 

But this trip is, above everything else, a Céline Dion fan trip, which is why we have decided to post on every forum, including CelineChannel. Therefore, I hope that this message will be read and appreciated until the end.

 

To make a long story short : we are organizing a trip to Québec, which departure from Paris (for most European fans) will be around February 12th, and which return will depend on everyone’s availability and resources. More details about the trip itself will be given later, we are first waiting to know how this topic will be welcomed here.

 

But note that a fan meeting will be organized to discuss and set up the SURPRISE prepared for the last show.

 

We already know several dates : February 13th, 14th and 15th, but we also know that more dates will be added (at least 2).

 

We are currently about 30 people of all nationalities to take part in this trip.

 

In order to attend the show all together, we have obtained seats for the 13th, all of them located between rows C and H of blocs SUD and NORD, that is to say between rows 3 and 8.

 

Today, we sill have about ten seats available, which is why we are now posting here. Two choices were possible for us: to leave these additional seats or to help fans benefit from them. This is why we are offering you to join our group for the show of February 13th.

 

If you are interested, here are the conditions:

 

1) To be in pairs (the tickets are only sold in pairs, if you are alone please contact us) ;

2) To be on Team Céline and to have your quota of two TC seats available (otherwise, purchase a new membership now).

 

Let me tell you that we won’t personally choose who seats who, but ticketmaster will. Therefore, no one will be advantaged / disadvantaged.

 

Moreover, if you have already bought tickets for the 13th, but if you are seating behind row 8, we can exchange them and make you join our group. I will say more if you are in this situation.

 

These seats are for the 13th, but we are planning to get seats for the last show as well. We only ask you to take part in the fan meeting that we will organize, to take part in the organization of the SURPRISE.

 

IMPORTANT: We will be waiting for your answers until tomorrow, Thursday 28 August before 12:00 pm (we don’t have much time). Please hurry up, seats are limited.

 

I really hope that you will be able to benefit from this offer. We want ALL fans of Céline to take advantage of this offer, no matter from where they are, and no matter which forum they support…

Je me permets d’ouvrir ce topic afin de vous parler de l’organisation d’un voyage au Québec en Février 2009 pour assister au dernier spectacle de Céline, et pour vous faire profiter de places de concert que nous avons réussi a obtenir.

 

Tout d’abord, pour ceux qui ne me connaissent pas je m’appelle Fanny et j’organise ce voyage avec Line, autre fan de Céline. Je ne vous cache pas que ce projet a été crée sur “l’autre forum”.

 

Mais ce voyage étant avant tout un voyage de FANS de Céline Dion, nous avons cru bon d’en parler sur tous les forums la concernant, y compris CelineChannel. J’espère donc que ce message sera lu et apprécié jusqu’au bout.

 

Pour résumer : nous organisons un voyage au Québec, dont le départ de Paris (pour la majorité des fans Européens) est prévu aux alentours du 12 Février et dont le retour serait fonction des disponibilités et ressources de chacun. Des détails supplémentaires concernant le voyage en lui-même seront donnés plus tard, nous attendons de savoir comment ce topic sera accueilli ici.

 

Mais sachez qu’une soirée sera organisée, afin de discuter et mettre en place LA SURPRISE préparée pour la dernière de Céline.

 

Nous connaissons déjà plusieurs dates de concert : 13, 14 et 15 Février, mais nous savons également que d’autres dates seront ajoutées (au moins 2 autres concerts supplémentaires).

 

Nous sommes actuellement une trentaine de personnes toutes nationalités confondues à participer à ce voyage.

 

Afin que nous assistions au concert tous ensemble, nous avons obtenu un lot de places pour le concert du 13 Février, toutes situées entre les rangs C et H des blocs SUD et NORD, c’est-a-dire entre les rangs 3 et 8.

 

A ce jour, il nous reste une dizaine de places disponibles, c’est pour cette raison que nous venons vers vous. Deux choix s’offraient à nous : abandonner ces places « en trop » ou en faire profiter un maximum de fans. C’est pourquoi, nous vous proposons aujourd’hui, de vous joindre à ce groupe pour le concert du 13.

 

Si vous êtes intéressés par ces places, il suffit de répondre à certaines conditions qui sont les suivantes :

 

Les conditions pour avoir des places sont :

 

1) Etre en binôme (les places ne sont disponibles que par paire / si vous êtes seuls, contactez-nous)

2) Etre abonné Team Céline / Avoir son quota de deux billets Team Céline de disponible. (Sinon se réabonner immédiatement !)

 

Je précise que nous n’assignons pas nous-mêmes les places, et que cela sera directement fait par Ticketmaster. Par conséquent, personne ne sera privilégié / désavantagé.

 

De plus, si vous avez déjà acheté vos places de concert pour le 13 mais que vous êtes placés au-delà du rang 8, nous pouvons les faire échanger et vous faire intégrer le groupe. J’en dirai plus si vous êtes dans cette situation.

 

Ces places sont pour le 13 Février, mais nous espérons également obtenir des places pour la dernière représentation. Nous demandons simplement aux personnes intéressées de participer à la soirée de fans que nous organiserons, pour prendre part a l’organisation de la SURPRISE.

IMPORTANT : Nous attendons vos réponses jusque demain, jeudi 28 août avant 12h00 (nous sommes pressés par le temps !) Faîtes vite, les places sont limitées !

 

J’espère sincèrement que vous saurez profiter de cette offre. Nous voulons en faire bénéficier TOUS les fans de Céline, d’où qu’ils viennent, et peu importe quel forum ils supportent…

The prices of the tickets are the same as for any other show, they are sold by ticketmaster so this doesn't change.

 

About the costs of this trip, here is an approximation of what they will be – BUT NOTHING IS OFFICIAL YET:

 

- Flight: about $600/700 from Paris to Montréal, I don’t know about other countries

 

- Hotel: between $30/35 per night

 

- A participation for the fan meeting which will include the materiel for the surprise: about $45.

 

So for a trip of 10 days the fixed costs will approximately be:

 

700+35x10+45 = $1095

 

The other costs will depend on you, on the show tickets, on the “pocket money” that you will want to have!

Where are you going to find a hotel in Montreal for 45? Or is that in euros?

It's more a hostel than a hotel. But we have seen hotels close the the Centre Bell that were quite cheap as well.

I have a few questions.

 

1. Why does this amazing opportunity of Celine Dion fan trip is offered on our forum on the last day if it's so good? Is it because you have extra tickets that you can't get rid of, and using our forum as back up plan? if I'm not wrong, this had been planned on the other forum since May.

 

2. How can you prepare SURPRISE for the last show when you don't even know when is the last show? How you can expect people can stay in Montreal forever since 13th?

 

3. Why this trip has to be departured from Paris? Fans wanna join must book a travel pack with the tickets? And why must book tickets in pairs?

 

4. Maybe you don't know, our forum has our own plans for the final shows. But since the final show date is not decided yet, our plan is not decided too.

Not that I don't want to support a Celine fans event. But I doubt everyone could decide everything about a trip to Montreal in one day.

1) I totally understand your question. Indeed as you said, the project was born in May when we learned that Céline would be back in Québec in February (glad to see that you know about it!). So we decided to organize a trip and to choose a show that we would attend with all the fans interested.

 

About the organization for the show, we booked tickets LAST WEEK, which were supposed to be enough for us but the annoucement of new shows didn't suit some fans. Because of that, they cancelled the show of the 13th and we ended up with more tickets. For respect for them, we waited until we were sure that they would not go with us (I guess you understand that) before asking more fans.

 

Since only yesterday, we have know for SURE that we would have additional tickets, so we thought we would offer them to fans here. I have to agree that we had to talk about it first, because we didn't know how you guys would react. We ended up saying that it would be really stupid to give tickets back, while we can give them to other fans on this forum. It's as simple as that, and unfortunately we can't wait any longer than tomorrow.

 

2) This is also a question that we ask ourselves. IF the last show is too far away from February 13th, or if we only have 50 fans interested for the last show against 100 for the 13th, we will do the surprise on the 13th. It won't be the only surprise anyway.

 

3) Like I said, MOST European fans will fly from Paris because it makes it easier for them, or just because they want to travel with us. Of course, we won't ask a fan from New York to come to Paris to fly with us!!

 

Tickets must be booked by pairs because it makes it a lot easier for us. But like I said, if fans are alone and can't find anyone, they can still contact us and we will help them for sure.

 

4) And no, I was not aware that you were organizing something. I had a look and think that this is another great idea.

 

Like you said yourself, this is a Céline fans event and I do believe that every project / event has its own place.

Honestly, we don't know what they are going to do with the tickets.

 

One sure thing is that for now, these tickets are for us fans, if we want them.

 

By the way, I'd like to know if you have a problem with this topic? I certainly hope not.
