Lymon Posted August 21, 2008 at 02:11 AM Posted August 21, 2008 at 02:11 AM The power and beauty of this song is absolutly amazing. Celine sings it from the bottom of her heart, and you can hear it in her voice. The lyrics are just incredibly beautiful, I can't describe it. Even before I knew what Je sais pas ment, I still felt the emotion in Celine's voice, and how she delivered it. Although I love both of her careers to no end, there's no doubt that Celine conveys more emotion in her native tongue. The instruments in this song are amazing, and the entire song has this very haunting quality to it. I don't know(no pun intended ) how to describe it, really, the song is just incredibly powerful. Certainly one of the best of her French career, and i'm very happy she decided to include it on the French setlist for the Taking Chances Tour. Quote http://i51.tinypic.com/2uf4r5f.png

JP Posted August 24, 2008 at 09:25 PM Posted August 24, 2008 at 09:25 PM In 1999's concert, i was a little bit bored by this song! But she sing it soooo perfectly on TCWT that it become one of my favorite song in the whole concert!! The high-notes improvisation are so gorgeous!! I had the exact same thought. I remember watching the Call The Man version of this video and at one point I almost fell off my chair... It looked like Celine was having too much fun watching old videos of her and her boyfriend On closer inspection though, you can see that both arms clearly stretch over the sofa but the first impression is a lasting one...! As for Je sais pas... I love it! I was always quite indifferent to it when I first bought D'EUX but now it is probably among my favourite songs. Her live performances were always stunning but now, with the Taking Chances tour, she has breathed new life into this gem! I love it! I haven't always been a great fan of JSP, though. I can't believe I didn't like it that much when I heard it for the first time. firebird Posted September 2, 2008 at 12:28 AM Posted September 2, 2008 at 12:28 AM Love this song. It's one of her best songs ever. It goes straight to the heart. The live performance in Gand 1996 used to be my favorite (which was easy, the other live performances were all rather same-ish and unspectacular), but the new version from this tour is great. I really like , (this one's great, no freak gestures, look at it, it's all so theatrical, and she's in total control of her voice, too bad it's just a clip) and Montreal (that JP posted in the tour forum) Quote
