Hey everyone, just got back from the concert! AMAZING!

 

Ok, what you all want to know about is...filming. There was no announcement that they were filming. I personally did not see any more cameras tonight than I had on Friday night (just the usual for the big screens).........

 

EXCEPT... I did see a large camera on one of those swooping arms sweeping over the floor. But there was only one. I am not sure if this camera is used for a DVD filming or just standard to be used for the stadium screens. I thought it was a bit odd to have this camera sweeping near the stage, but I may have not seen it Fri. night and it may be a standard fixture. Someone else might be able to answer about that.

 

As for the concert, amazing as usual but there was a more powerful energy on Fri night than there had been tonight. Nothing can beat Celine's expression when she first came out on Fri night and the "My Love" standing ovation moment. Tonight, she seemed a bit more relaxed, more rehearsed, more at ease in Montreal, whereas on Fri night she was genuinely overwhelmed.

 

But to say a Celine concert is "lesser" is almost a joke... the only thing that an top a Celine concert is another Celine concert and tonight lived up to - no, exceeded - her usual standard!

 

Her highlight of tonight I felt was "All By Myself" - tonight's version was incredibly powerful, moreso than what I heard on Fri. She really put her all into it tonight and the audience noticed - they were on their feet. INCREDIBLE. The Power of Love was also amazing - DEFINITELY NOT LIP SYNCHED - this was live. She had a slightly different interpretation of it than usual and it sounded way different than it had Fri.

 

The French songs, SSDA, JIOTI, PQTME, JSP are still the Montreal crowd's favourites.

 

The Prayer and Shadow of Love were, very tragically, cut.

 

I felt like tonight didn't have as many personal interactions and moments with the audience, except for at the very end, during PQTME, a little girl in the front row wanted to give Celine a picture she had drawn. Celine bent down and took it, and then said "merci" in the middle of her song and looked at it, and waved it at the end. Very sweet and genuine!

 

Very jealous of whomever got floor seats. I was in the very last row and used binoculars. I will be going back in Feb. and intend on being on the floor, one way or another...

 

Below is what I recall the tracklisting to be. DISCLAIMER: Please please don't quote me on it as it may not be perfect - hopefully someone else can modify it if there are errors? It's not necessarily in order altho I got it as close as I could to what I remember. I also can't recall if "I'm alive" was sung... isn't that awful? But I don't remember it...

I'm super tired (although super hyped as usual after a concert) so I hope someone else can clarify the tracklisting of tonight's concert for you all. as I think about it again, I think she did sing I'm Alive, but for some reason I keep remembering Friday's version instead of tonight's. I'm getting confused!

 

Nope, we'll have to keep waiting for the filming I think. I was a bit disappointed because it would have been a thrill to have been at a concert as they were filming. I have to say I'm disappointed they didn't film Friday night. That would have made for the most interesting, compelling show on DVD.

Maybe it's done already. Can't be sure but on the first night of Céline's show in Montréal, Alexandra Diaz of TVA in her pre-show report confirm that they were filming the DVD that night and the night after. But again she was wrong when she said she would sing 30 songs that same night like every other media, she was not the only one À suivre....Thanks for the review I'm getting sleepy now, Bonne nuit tout le monde!

je revien tous juste du spectacle je ne c est pas comment ecrire tous ca en anglais alors si quelqu un veux me tradiure oui il on filmer ce soir la grosse cameras que vous avez vue sert a ça et il y avais un autre camera sur la scène qui normalement n est pas la au niveau des chanson rien n a changer sauf qu elle a remis the power of love quelle n avais pas fait samedi alors sur ce je me n vais dormir car j y retour demain

Translation:

 

I just came back from the show, i don't know how to write all that in english... so if anyone wants to translate... - Yes they filmed the show tonight, the big cameras that you saw were for that and there was another one on the stage that usually isn't there. The songs were the same except that she sang the power of love that she hasn't sung on Saturday. I'm going to sleep and I come back tomorrow.

Hi! OK, I guess that big moving camera was something then. I didn't see an announcement but then again I was in the last row and could have easily missed a French-language announcement.

I wonder if she'll change anything for the rest of the Montreal shows. I really thought she'd do more songs in French. I could live without Shadow of Love live, I love the song on the cd but it doesn't come off so well live - at least it didn't in London. The audience did not react at all.
