Jacqui Posted August 19, 2008 at 12:30 AM Posted August 19, 2008 at 12:30 AM My Mama was a special education teacher She had to quit though because my Grandfather got ill and he needs a full time carer Anyway, she was inspired to become a special ed teacher because my brother had a lot of learning difficulties throughout school. It's important for all the obvious reasons. Children need to have a general understanding of certain things to survive in life, and to pass school. It's harder for some kids than others, so they need someone to maybe explain things in a different way to help them understand, or revise with them more so they can pass and keep up with their classmates... Firstly, everyone has the right to learn and not everyone is able to learn in the same way.
