Bumble Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Today was the day to buy tickets for the last show of Celine in Montreal, during an exclusive presale held by ticketmaster with Team Celine. Well, it had a bitter taste for the fans: First: people who came first should have gotten the best seats according to team celine...Yet, not all seats were available at the same moments, and better seats were made available later in the afternoon. Which means that the policy first here first served wasn't true. Moreover, those exclusive good seats for teamceline were not that good (8th rows minimum) Second: Better seats were made available at the same moment, on ticket exchange, for much more money. Those seats were never made available during the team celine presale...and the seats for regular reservation are not available yet. Which means someone is making money by reselling tickets that were not made available. What should we understand? That a black market is organized by ticket master itself to sell tickets at a higher price than they would be able to sell otherwise via the presale, since no one is supposed to have legit tickets in those blocks at the moment. Sellers are becoming the scalpers to get all the benefits they can get from an artist like celine This is a fraud to cheat on the fans and rip them off their money! Davey84 Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 complain to feelings productions! I don't think complaining at music today will do anything! the whole ticket policy of this tour sucks big time! Dionesque Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Similair thing happened in Germany... The tickets in first 3 rows for all German shows were awailable only on Fansale which is a part of Eventim.de - the official ticket seller. Fansale of course got much higher prices - sometimes as "buy now", the other times you have to bid on tickets. And when you buy a ticket there, you need to pay pretty much extra fees - I think it's something about 60 euros fees only! But are you sure there were no front rows seats available at TeamCéline today?? I remember someone in the topic about the February 13th show worte today that she/he got tickets in row A in Floor Sud... fred Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Haven't you guys still gotten it?! It's TEAMCELINE!!!! /fred Quote Peace and love to all.
jonny823 Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 It's a sad thing, but this isn't anything new, really. I've seen this happen many times in the past with other artists I've seen on tour... Tickets from the pre-sales end up on ebay or other websites for twice the price or more. I will say though that this is probably the most blatant case of abuse I've seen - the tickets showing up on ticketexchange before the actual on-sale date. And it's probably for this reason that Team Celine put the 2 ticket cap on this tour. Obviously it's not curbing the problem though. Quote
dirrtydavid Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) the view from my premium seats as booked through team celine: CLICK HERE great weren't they, well worth €120 each. And i complained to teamceline bout them and i'm still waiting on a reply over a month later.... edit: oh and while discussing it on teamceline another user said they had got seats in the 10th row of the floor seating, the kick in the genitals being that they were not teamceline members when they bought the tickets so would not have had access to the "premium seating". Bellamy Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Nothing new. They even cheat on seat chart in China. I got first row front section from TeamCeline. But they add two VIP rows in front us, not even on the seat chart. That's a real scandal. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Chula Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 But they add two VIP rows It happened at Live in Macau as well! Quote

Bumble Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) How comes people can have tickets in the North block when only the south block was available via the presale? It shows that those tickets are directly put on the ticket exchange service by ticket master. Those tickets were never made available. Jenni Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 How comes people can have tickets in the North block when only the south block was available via the presale? It shows that those tickets are directly put on the ticket exchange service by ticket master. Those tickets were never made available. I was wondering the same thing yesterday... I also thought the tickets on TicketExchange are sold by people who have bought the tickets through Ticketmaster, however, it seems that they are in fact put on sale by Ticketmaster. At least certain portion of them. Not so long ago, the prices on most "premium" tickets for NYC 15th concert on TicketExchange went down over a night. I thought it was sort of odd that many people would lower the price at the same time, so I'm sure some of those tickets on TicketExchange are sold by Ticketmaster. Probably mostly those in the front rows. As Barbara mentioned, the same thing happened with Fansale/Eventim in Germany. What's more, when I tried to bid on some tickets on Fansale, it seemed like I was bidding against a "robot" as the price always went up by 1 euro right at the second I placed my bid. Quote
ticktock Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 it happens everywhere especially with Ticketmaster. Me and group of others were primed and ready to buy tickets for Gloria Estefan in Wembley on 10 Sept this year, when we got there we couldn't get any front seats at all. In fact after so much frustration we ended up getting tickets in row 21 in the main center block A2 from seetickets.co.uk. we really wanted front rows seats and we were all online at the time tickets went on sale but we took what we could get. That was 2 months ago and now last week ticketmaster made front row seats available for block A3!! imagine our frustration at this, it didn't make sense at all!!! Quote http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL1127/6689391/12879817/231201218.jpg
SensationalCeline Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Well that sucks big time but my sister used to go to concerts all the time (no Celine ones though ) and she said that Ticketmaster was not a good place to get tickets from . stevethefan Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Yeah this is nothing new, unfortunately. It's interesting because I have not yet bought a ticket for her concert here in Washington D.C. They went on sale months ago and were not sold out. But a few weeks ago they announced they were releasing more seats and the seats are pretty good, even now. So you could actually get a better seat now. Quote
karatedude317 Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 I DEFINITELY understand your frustration. I got my tickets through an internet presale the Friday before they were open to the public that Monday in November. I got on right at 10am, got tickets in the two hundred section of the Nassau Coliseum for $185 each. Last month I get an email saying that there are new blocks of tickets being released for the same show. I check to see what's available just for the hell of it, and there are seats in the 100 section available EIGHT months later! How unfair! I called ticketmaster, and they gave me the same BS that as per their policy, they cannot exchange my tickets for the better seats, etc etc. They suggested that I (LISTEN TO THIS!) buy the tickets for the better seats now, and try to sell the orig tickets. I'm not into "taking chances" by buying new tickets in the hopes that the old ones will be bought, with my luck i'd be stuck with two extra tickets i didn't need. Quote
celinerific Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Urgh. f*** Ticketmaster... Just f*** them. God - that's such a shoe in the #ss. Quote http://i58.tinypic.com/2qbub9c.png @ErikaTran | Insta: aireexwp | erikatran.com
