amyja89 Posted August 5, 2008 at 05:35 PM Posted August 5, 2008 at 05:35 PM (edited) Outta? As in "get outta here!" or "I'm Outta Love"?Yes! Ow-ta As in owl without the L sound at the end, and then the 'ta' at the end should sound like the end of the word feta, as in feta cheese! Hope that helps! neilg Posted August 5, 2008 at 05:37 PM Posted August 5, 2008 at 05:37 PM Ah - tah. Or you could just stick to the formal Ought To I only just realized you'd say 'Ah-tah' because you're American... 'Ow-ter' is the British pronunciation. Quote

I was arguing with my sister about the pronunciation of this word. She was convicted ''Outta'' was pronounced ou-ta and I was 95% sure the pronunciation was slightly different so I decided to ask my question on the forum. Quote
