it's closed now, right? damn I just didn't have any time to make a photo and enter

For privacy and security reasons, the pictures will not be shown publicly. We are disappointed with the number of entries received, less than 10 members participated in this contest. I cannot believe so few send in their photos! There was plenty of time for them to come up with one.

 

We are not sure what to do next. Bellamy is out of town for a few days so a decision won't be known until later this week.

hmmm I dunno. It might be due to summer, because people were on holiday etc. plus it wasn't that big advertised! I mean you had the little banner on the left, but that was the CF2 too at some times. Maybe you should redo this contest, but then put it in the main celine discussion?

It can't be due to summer, the forum was pretty active during the past month. That banner on the left is visible to many plus it's been there for over 1 month! I'm sure most have seen it more than once. I doubt putting it in the celine discussion will help much, even the CF2 topic didn't get many views...

oh that's so sad , I thought it would be a huge contest and it will be hard to judge out the winner , and also I thought there would be an excellent fair of the photos at the end of the contest ! but what's the problem with the privecy . I myself give you full control of my own photo . c'mon guys it would be really a letting down in this way !

Oh what a shame, I can't believe so few people entered, I thought there would have been hundreds of entries, that's why I decided to get in early I thought the response would be huge considering the book isn't easily available in some countries like Australia and the fact that it's signed Oh My Dion! Hey, if you got sooo less entries, maybe you just prolongue the deadline for sending the pics?? And move this topic to "Céline Discussions" section?? I'm sure it will get more attention there and probably many more people will take part in this contest! I'm sure there are tons of people like me, who visit this forum quite regularely but doesn't check this section and so all of them missed on this fun...

I'm sure she means custom/duty fees.

When I ordered my "For Keeps" a few years ago, it has been kept at the customs because the package was very heavy and they though there may be some expensive stuff which need to be paid before releasing them. I was called to come over to the customs service and make a clearance.

Fortnately it turned out that there's no custom fee for books here but they couldn't open the package without my presence there so that's why all the problems.

Sometimes I'm also afraid about duty when I'm buying/ordering some more expensive stuff from outside European Union, that's it.

 

But don't worry, there's usually no duty for books, even if they are heavy.

if you're using the Summer default skin, the banner appears on the right side beside the Google ads. it keeps changing with every page refresh to either the For Keeps contest banner, the Donate banner or the CF2 banner. guess this was the problem...people ignored it

Ach, now I know which banner do you mean, Krys. But somehow I've always seen only CF² or Donate banner when I peeped in that corner... Maybe that's why I missed on the contest...

I really would love this book, Iv not been able to find it here, and it was just to heavy to bring home from vegas, Im keeping my fingers crossed.

It has,it has...because in the rules says that you must pay tha tax if you win to be sent in your country..
