MTJ Posted July 29, 2008 at 06:15 PM Posted July 29, 2008 at 06:15 PM I guess she was the first to sing The Power of Love? I hadn't heard of her....Celine probably just heard Laura's version as a demo before she covered it and said it was inspiration. Quote

Actually I think it was Jennifer Rush that was the first to sing The Power Of Love. (?) Laura Branigan just did a cover version. At least I know her better for the song "Self Control". bfhb Posted August 2, 2008 at 07:49 PM Posted August 2, 2008 at 07:49 PM Laura was a great singer ...when she didnt push her voice...though i have to say her version of the power of love is awful she screeches thru it ...truly her worst vocal to my ears anyway .Ti amo , Gloria, self control , Spanish Eddie all fab songs start there if u want to experience her voice her best cds IMHO are Touch and Over my heart she is a big loss to the music world, may she rest in piece x Quote love doesn't ask whyspeaks from the heart and never explainsdont you know that love doesn't think twiceit can come all at once or whisper from a distance
