what was the first celine item you ever got

I bought My Heart Will Go On from iTunes a few years ago and now have a huge Celine collection on iTunes! I don't have any actual CDs unfortunately so now I am saving up to buy all the actual CDs cos it's more special to have all the pictures etc that come with them...

My first Celine's item is her cassette (which I still have) Falling Into You. At that time I was around 15-17. I started buying cassettes during that age. Too bad that cassette is not the first cassette ever that I bought. But that album is my first Celine's item. I first knew her on TV and radios though: The Power of Love. But I never really knew her until I bought Falling Into You cassette. Although I only like a few songs from that album, it's still my favorite. But of course now I listen to CD audio

For me it was the cassette album "des mots qui sonnent" in 1992 when i was 5 years old,my mum played the tape in our car everyday,i loved "le blues du businessman" and oxygene" songs,i sang them all the time with passion,all my falily laugh a lot about it.when i was eight,"d'eux" was number one,i've bought it...etc...etc..etc... !!!! lol!!

and i have to say that now, it's the song i really can't stand anymore! everytime it is on the radio, i change the channel! ;)and for me, it's really one of the most boring songs and her voice is a lot better in other songs.

 

other thing i don't like about it, is that since then, everytime that name céline dion is mentionned, everybody's like "yeah, that titanic-singer with that stupid song"! people don't get that she can do a lot of other things (like on her new album) and she's not only that ballad-singer...

Mine was the Because You Loved Me cassette single. I bought that around the time that it came out, in early 1996. This was followed by the Falling Into You CD... And it was all over from there.
