My question: it is quite hard here in Europe to find US relesases. Personnaly, I never find anything in shops or fairs or even ads.

Is it the same for you (hard to find EU releases) ?

In the past it was hard to find US releases here in Europe, but now it is not. last year at the CD fair in Utrecht (Holland) I saw like 5 or 6 US releases, I think the Asian releases are harder to find than the US ones. And with the internet you just can get them easily. Just go to the Utrecht fair when you can. It is the biggest in Europe. Yeah indeed, and if you book your trainticket like WAY before it is quite cheap also. I traveled to Paris many times and it was cheap. And indeed if you can combine a trip to Holland with it... Remember this fair is only twice a year, ones at the end of April and ones at the end of November.

The Australian Boxset of TCOML and D'eux! I love the cover they made for it and I was surprised to find it was still sealed! And the new European boxset of 1F4T and SA (Though it's still too early to include SA in a boxset IMO!)

Finally I got the Misled 2 track single from the USA, and a European IDAN single, but it has a Thai sticker on it.

The French Blance Porte sampler with DAODA on it, the rare Thai cardsleeve promo of VH1 Diva's Live. It has 5 tracks, Céline's being MHWGO, YGAF and NW, American promos for The Prayer and TTWII Live with *NSYNC. I Always believed this promo to be fake, but it says That's The Way It Is in the center of the disc, making it authentic to me!

The Canadian Faith 1 track promo, so glad to finally have it!, the UK LMBTL promo with sticker and the UK Incredible promo!

First row are Thai editions of Unison, D'Eux (black and white booklet) VH1 Diva's Live and In My Life.

Second row are South African editions of TCOML and FIY, The Canadian Pelchat cassette and the USA Mini Disc of CD.

This lot I bought with Israëli promo stickers on normal European singles, I thought it had a special touch lol.

The stickers mean:

 

ABM - Celine Dion with a new hit. cover for Eric Carmen's hit . From her new album FIY + 2 tracks from her new live album.

 

MHWGO - THE BIGGEST HIT IN THE WORLD! Celine Dion in the song from Titanic (the most successful film in the world) the song appears in her last album and in the movie soundtrack. It also won a golden globe.

 

Immortality - After the MHWGO Histery and History, Celine releases a new single. This time a duet with the Bee Gees. Need we say more?

 

Live - Another song from Celine Dion's new compilation album from the play Notre Dame de Paris.

 

ANDHC - Celine Dion's new album will be released on 25.3.

 

I'm alive - 2nd single I'm Alive is the title song of the movie Stewart Little 2 from her succesful album which sold more than 6.5 million copies around the world. ANDHC.

These CDs I find myself a great addition! They are from the Columbia House label; meaning they were pressed and released for mail order only! After years of looking for the CCK version of Incognito I finally found it! I also didn't know Pelchat and Elmopalooza! were released on that label, so to have found them was a great joy!

Ok here we go: German LE of ANDHC (It was released in two editions; one with a card sleeve, one with a sticker on the cover), French Gold Vol 1 cd, and French digipacks of ONCP and ML (from 2014!)

A 2010 release from Colombia of ATW (with SOV on the CD and the ATW dvd), Thai cds from VH1 Diva's Live and ANDHC (I also have SA but I forgot to put it on the pic )And the South African edition of My Love (With a huge thank you to Sharon! :hugs: )

On the last row; a Japanese edition of ATW with a gorgeous Golden slipcase and the European Best of.

First row; the Wall-Mart Edition of TC with the bonus DVD. I only had the version in the hard plastic. I wonder which one is more common, a Drive is Love promo from Chrystler. The Cd-rom includes some tracks from OH, but deformed. (The seller said it was an unreleased version of IDAN, but alas )

And finally the French 2 VHS boxset of ACDS and ATW. I love that over they made!

I also bought the last Paris Match with the beautiful photospread and the touching interview! I hope it won't be too long untill we can welcome her back again!

And I bought a huge portfolio of various clipping from the early start till now! It is full of little treasures

Looking at my collection, I noticed that I didn't really have her Canadian releases, which if you think about it, is kinda a must! So I got these:

The AMAZING cassette of Liette, including the unforgetable hits Diggy Liggy Lo, Mon père N'Avait Que Fille Que Moi (A sneer to Celine no doubt!) and La Bastringue (which she performed in front of 250.000 spectators in 2008!!!)

And the one of a kind Unique CLASH between Celine and my old love Jem! An amazing collabortation. But unfortunatly the hologram cd is only playable on the Synergy computer, which I don't have

Wow, so many new faces posting stuff on here! This is great to see. I've already liked a few of these posts but now I'll try to acknowledge as many of you as I can.

 

Celine4evauk: Thanks so much for posting all those photos from the Vegas tour book. (I didn't get to say it yet) It was great to see the difference between that and the SA tour book, I'm still a bit bummed that they copied so much of it, as it was really nice to have it as a separate item, but I can't fault the extra photos they've included. Congratulations to everyone of you lucky ones that have managed to get a copy (including the most recent one from you Santiago) I wish I knew someone who was going to Vegas soon (and yes that is a hint for anyone who wants to send me a pm )

 

Celinedionforeverny: Some lovely stuff there, really nice to see your sealed vinyls, they are always worth being on the lookout for. and well done on getting the Ultimate box. Your LMBTL promos are well cool and haha that you bought the fan, it'll keep you cool next time the seconds are counting down on an eBay auction.

 

Powerofceline: Thanks for sharing, your cuttings book looks so tempting. I'd love a proper search through it! It's nice to see your collection all on one photo, It'll be even nicer for you when you can no longer do that. I think I'd have to stand on the roof to show all of mine in one photo at this stage, so you have that to look forward to. I still get a little flutter in my heart when I see any singles from the Celine Dion album in a group shot.

 

Caledor: Congratulations on your stuff, including La Reliegeuse and the LMBTL vinyl. I had not seen that SSD cover on the biography before, nice. The postman must know you by name now.

Davey: As usual you trounce everyone else with the sheer volume and quirkiness of your purchases. Love them all, the coml/deux box set is so cool, (btw wasn't Grace Brothers the name of the department store on the TV show "Are you being served?") Totally agree that SA shouldn't be in a box set yet, but it is to be fair a nice looking cover. lol

You already know how much I covet your Thai promo from Diva's Live. I am and always will be vicious I didn't see it first. As for NSync.... who knew!?

You certainly had a Mario Pelchat fix. Three items. He was so hot on the Pelchat cover. Well done on finding the Columbia House CD, and the Columbia House of the Elmo CD (who also looks hot )

JohnYu, you remain a legend for what you sent us both.

That Gold sleeved ATW: love it, crave it, want it!!

And having gone through his cuttings, I have to tell you guys, there are some very cool ones in there.

 

Finally you're very welcome my dear friend for the little things I got you. In case people are wondering why I gave him a Liette cover, I actually discovered that the cassette of hers that I bought last year, had a second cover with it! So it was a little bonus And obviously the Incognito with Jem was just a bit of fantasy fun. Glad it made you laugh Alvick53.

 

 

As for my own collection, well I have had a bit of a quiet time lately, but I do have a few items which I will post as soon as I get the chance. I'm currently in the process of redecorating my Celine Collection room though so everything is in boxes at the moment, so it will take a while to get myself organised.

Just let me tell you a little story... I work at the InterContinental Monterrey Hotel (México), and a few months ago, a guest came to me and asked me to print for him a flight confirmation and a itinerary for his trip to Las Vegas, which included tickets for Celine's show!! I almost freaked out when I saw that on my computer!!! I don't know why but I was excited!! In that moment I didn't realize the date of the show he was about to attend, but now I do... July 29! Celine's last show in Las Vegas before hiatus!! He was very lucky!

 

Ok but nothing to do in this topic...

 

My point is, I work in a hotel, and this "friend" who gave me the show program as a gift is also one of our guests...!! (not the one I mentioned on my little story) During check out he told me he was going to Vegas and I couldn't help but ask him to get this program for me and he did! I didn't have money enough in that moment so I promised him I would pay him when he were back. 2 weeks later he came and told me it was a gift!! I LOVE MY JOB LOL!!!
