I am so happy right now, because this has just arrived!!

 

-Autour du Monde (Deluxe Edition) - EU version!!!! €54.90 from eBay (But it now)

 

After weeks of searching, I finally have this rare version. This item has been hard to get in both Canada and EU, although Amazon.ca actually had their edition in stock for a while. But the EU version has not been in stock in any of the French online stores such as Amazon.fr or FNAC, and it's only appeared on eBay once or twice since the release date. It's so strange how people could buy it in stores in France and other countries, but not online. I consider myself lucky to have got it for that price, as in just over a month it has become as rare as the Ultimate Box! It's almost as if they haven't made enough copies of this item in Europe, or it hasn't been distributed properly to all the retailers. I find it so bizarre how it has been unavailable on every site since the release, even when I pre-ordered it!

 

The following photos compare the English and French EU deluxe editons:

The spines on both versions have the same layout. I thought that the French spine would be like the other French releases, ADM and TMTC, with the catalogue number at the top, then the DVD logo at the botton, but in fact it is exactly the same as all the other versions, with the Columbia & Productions J logos at the top, then the DVD symbol and catalogue number at the bottom.

Well ADM & TMTC have been in stock ever since the release date on several sites, but the deluxe is nowhere to be seen!

Very nice Tim, I'm really happy you are so pleased with it. I hope you are right about it being so hard to find now. It certainly isn't easily available at the moment on the net, but it's still very early days to call it rare. But one thing, while it is the deluxe edition, I hadn't heard that it was actually advertised as limited. Where did it say this?

As others have said, Celine has released limited editions before, and they usually turn out to be more available than some general editions, look at the Christmas limited edition of All By Myself.

 

By the way, loving that little devil cow. Very apt.

Of course more copies will eventually come up! And for reasonable prices, too As Davey says, we have learnt that the so called "limited editions" today are not that limited in the end Let alone with Céline's case. I'm more conviced each time that there are not so many Céline Dion collectors out there, and most of them are in this forum .

 

We are not talking about a Madonna or Lady Gaga collectors item you know .

Timster, one of the most limited item Céline has is the wooden boxset of Falling Into You and also the vinyl edition (both have 650 copies produced only). These are from 1996 and copies keep coming up still today I've managed to get the wooden box for less than 30 euros in 2004 and a second copie for only 6,50 euros in 2006. You only need to be patiend and know where to look.

 

Also, I got an original copie of the Ultimate Box for 16 euros in february At no point I would have paid the asked retail price (>100) for that box, so I just needed to wait. This will happen with the deluxe editions of the tour, no doubt. I don't have any of them yet but they will come for sure

 

Even John managed to get a sealed copie of Dion Chante Plamondon today (the r-a-r-e-s-t LP Céline has, out of the question)!!

Not you of course, but your vinyl! What I wanted to say is that your latest purchase was a great example of what I was saying, that even that 1991 ultra rare LP can be found today and for (MY GOD!!) 26 €

Not at all IMO I would say that French Incognito, german Vivre and The Best can be found 100 times more easily for 1 copie that should come up of that canadian LP This only happens 1 time each 5 years I would say!

But 5 years, that's good news for me then! I guess Tom, we'll see your copy posted here in 2015 in that case. You should hopefully have got your money back from the bank by then.

 

Of course, you realise now Javito that you've jinxed it and Davey is going to be on here next month with his copy that he got for €19.99 with a free copy of Des Mots Qui Sonnent thrown in as a bonus.
