I talked to TeamCeline staff and they told me that they've decided to put the song on the main page of the website because "during Celine's tour, the audience reaction to the song was so positive".

 

So, nothing about a new single.

My Love is boring and definitely NOT radio friendly. I hope Sony wouldn't release it as a single 'cause it would be the worst single choice ever in Celine's career.

LOL! They are Rather focusing too much on bringing her up love ballad songs to the radio. Look, most of Celine's radio singles are love ballads and definitely not up tempo songs :

People - come on. Fade Away sounds SO desperate. It sounds like a re-make of a 2004 song. Nothing original. Yes, Celine sounds fantastic...but it's not enough.

 

At least My Love sounds original. It's a different side of Celine - and that is important right now. So, if Sony were to release another single - it should be My Love or Shadow of Love. Both are unique. Both are plenty radio friendly.

"Fade Away" is so powerful and strong ... but "My Love" is superb!!!

Celine is doing The Today Show in Aug 8th and taping the CBS Early Show that day as well, so there's the promotion for the "new" single or "re-release" of TC. There is also talk of her doing Oprah in confuction with that UNICEF childrens project. So that would air Sept, most likely.

 

I just heard things with Whit aren't going so well and no release is scheduled until fall or later. Remember, she was to release a cd last Nov, then Spring...now late 2009. I love her, but she's totally messed up her voice. She's taking vocal lessons now to try and stregthen her voice.
