Hope there will be someone arranging a trip like this at the time of the first few shows in Montréal, otherwise I will have to take it on my own. That's also fine to me but would do so much more fun with some québecoise/Canadian 'insiders', hehe!

Hey my Celine peeps. Did you see the cool fan meeting pic in the Montreal August 15/16 thread? If you didn't get to attend that one and want to meet other Celine fans, please come meet us anywhere along this tour on Aug 31. We'll be at Nickel's for lunch (on Ste Catherine across from the Eaton Centre) and Restaurant 9-4-10 at the Bell Centre for dinner. If you can't make it to either of those times, please PM myself or Alex Incognito and we will be happy to give you our contact #s so we can meet after the show.

Hey Guys!!! All of you who are going will be in Montréal on the 31st: you really HAVE to join Tracy & Alex on this trip!!! I went to all those places during my stay in Montréal in the last days and all of them are simply beautiful and magical!!! You can't miss them being in 'Dionland' and I guess it may be even more fun to visit them with other lovely fans!! Nickels is really not expansive and the food is sooo YUMMY!!! The same goes for Schwartz!!

Both Céline stars have something special about them as well and visiting Charlemagne is simply a MUST if you are in Québec as Céline fan!! Very small but very beautiful place with looot of Célinish signs on it!

10am at the old Forum (in front of), across from the Montreal Children's Hospital. It is at the Atwater metro station on the Green line, on Ste Catherine & Atwater streets; should be quite easy for everyone to find.

 

It is important that you confirm with us.

So how was the meeting and the trip?? It was so great for me and Lizzy to discover all these places (ok, most of them, hehe) one by one but it must be especially overwhelming and great to see them in one day and with many other dedicated fans!!! I'm so curious to read your reviews and see the pictures!

Ok, Here's some pics from the tour. The feedback was great; everyone had fun, ate well, and enjoyed getting to know each other a little. We rented a minivan with airconditioning which was perfect for the very hot day we had. It was so nice for me, who had been to Charlemagne already, to witness the excitement and pure joy of those who got to visit here for the first time. It really is our mecca. We took turns telling our own Celine stories, we always found parking and didn't get any speeding tickets, LOL, and we even had time to go up to the mountain lookout (a nice little bonus). I was the only one brave enough to try the Celine chocolate cake at Nickel's, but that thing is so large that everyone shared some anyway! Not all of us attended the dinner at the Restaurant 9-4-10 in the Bell Centre, but it was quite the luxurious treat. We even got to see a famous Montreal Canadiens Hockey player (Jean Belliveau) from the good old days celebrating his birthday at a nearby table.

 

1 & 2) Outside the old Forum by Celine's Star; 3 & 4) St. Viateur Bagel Bakery; 5) One of the 3 autographed photos of Celine at St. Viateur; 6) Outside Schwart'z Deli (famous for smoked meat); 7) Pics of Celine, Rene & staff of Schwartz's on the wall inside the deli; 8,9,10) At the lookout on Mount Royal, beautiful! 11) Walking along Ste Catherine Street; 12&13) Celine's giant chocolate cake and Mary and I inside Nickel's; 14,15,16,17,18) Alex, Jose, Lisa, Joey, Mary, & Me AND the Celine Globe in Charlemagne; 19&20) The former Dion Family Home in Charlemagne; 21) The Metro grocery store across the street from the old home; 22&23) St. Jude School in Charlemagne (where Celine attended grade school); 24) The menu at the Restaurant 9-4-10 on the 4th floor of the Bell Centre; & 25) Our little group nice & full after dinner and ready for Celine's concert!

Great pictures. I've also been to that Nickels restaraunt where they serve the "Celine" chocolate cake that you can see posted (it was delicious!) But am I the only one that noticed that the photo posted with the cake and the two scoops of ice cream sort of resembles breasts!
