Hello, I was just wondering if Celine has taken over your life, as in eat, sleep, shower, think about her all the time.. that you feel SAD that she on a break and can"t wait for her to return.. you even have to watch her video, or watch u-tube to get thought the day.

I wouldn't say she's taken over my life. I don't let anything or anybody do that. However, her music and her thought-process do cross my mind quite a bit. For instance taking "Taking Chances" out of the setlist in Monaco. Whatever the reason it was still puzzling.

LOL that is what I'm doing! It drives me crazy when I can't understand what she's saying. And I love the French language. So I'm learning.

I don't think she's taken over my life, like, in a creepy way...I still have my own life, interests, likes and dislikes, but...

Eating: I cooked a few of the recipes from Celine's Mama's cooking show....

Sleeping: I read Celine books sometimes before bed, and the smell of Belong helps me to sleep (seriously! it's like a sedative or something LOL)

Shower: Sometimes I use the shower gels from her Perfume range, and sometimes Celine is on the radio while I'm in the shower.

Think about her all the time?: Well, most the time, not all the time...

I don't feel sad that she's on a break, I'm glad she's taking a break... and I watch videos most days, but not every day...

She does cross my mind during the day, I listen to her almost everyday, and I have had several Celine dreams, but she hasn't taken over my life necessarily. I'm in the same boat as Jacqui.

Though as far as the break goes, I'm quite happy about it (:

She can always use one & I think it will be fun to see what she is up to this month.

Thats what im trying to do as i would love to understand the lyrics and interviews ect...but i dont have lessons or anything i just have to learn from some books i have so it will be a very slow process lol.

She hasnt over taken my life...i still have my friends, and i do loads with them and i ride my horse alot and compete...i do all the normal stuff someone my age does. But i listen to pretty much only her music, every day unless im on camp or something and i watch videos on youtube and stuff alot of days. Like Jaqqui (SP?) said i too like to watch one of her DVD's or read one of her books before bed too.

Im happy she is taking a break after the tour because i think its best for her... and we still have her music while she takes time out anyway.

It actually does get very creepy at times for me how much she's on my mind. My partner gets kind of freaked out with it too, so I have no choice but to curb my listening for awhile and stay off the forum for a few days. I have two boys who want to listen to other music in the car, but I tell them they can do that so long as I get to hear at least one Celine tune for the day (that's not every day though). I know you guys are going to laugh at me, but sometimes it seems like she's following me!!! LOL I hear Celine in so many places; restaurants, elevators, grocery stores, etc. I turn to my family members and say, "You see, she's following me." Some days I do really have a hard time understanding what it is about Celine that makes me yearn for her presence in my life. I've been through many things in life and feel pretty balanced now, have many good friends and family members, have a good career helping people through social work, have teenagers to keep me busy and dogs to walk by the river; yet...I can't get enough of Celine.

So, if any of you figure out what it is that makes us feel taken over by Celine at times, please share your theory. I would be forever grateful for your help. I have my own thoughts on this and have shared them on this forum, but will I really, really understand it one day?? I hope so! At this point, I have to believe that it is something spiritual that I am pulled to for a reason that I will understand later...just how much later I'm not sure though, LOL!

And to those who have met her: Does the yearning go away once you've had that meeting, or does it just get worse??

Thanks for listening...reading!!

It's really interesting that you said this because I have been feeling the same way :hmm: ! Before August of 07 I was managing pretty well. I didn't listen to her everyday. I thought about her every now and then (like hoping that she was ok and that her LV show was going well). Then all of a sudden, Celine became the focus of what seemed like everything. I even created a lesson for my students with her as the subject! I started dreaming about her and hearing her singing (even when there was no music playing) :w00t: . I've become so addicted to Celine these past couple of months I haven't really been able to focus on anything else (thank God I'm out for the summer :giggle: ) Don't get me wrong, I'm not idolizing Celine, but I am feeling an even greater connection to her that I am unable to explain and so many things have been happening to make me think that there is a reason for this (especially on the spiritual level) but I'm not sure what it is. I've been listening to her music everyday and have identified songs that for some reason stick out more than others: "Taking Chances", "Can't Fight This Feeling", "New Dawn", "L'abandon", "On s'est aime a cause", "Tous les blues sont ecrits pour toi", " Alone", "Surprise Surprise" , "Fade Away", "I Knew I Loved You", "Le vol d'un ange", "Let Your Heart Decide", "The Reason I Go On", and two or three others that I can't recall right now. I know this looks like a long list, but considering her repertoire of music, this doesn't even touch the surface. Also, for some of these, it's not the lyrics so much that stand out but the titles that seem to have attracted me to them (and of course the way in which Celine sings them). I honestly do believe that there really is something special about Celine that makes her almost like a good drug for people that keeps them coming back for more. She's NOT God and never will be a god, but God has definitely given us a great gift in her. Just knowing that inevitably one day (hopefully in the far far far far off future  ) this world will be without her is so difficult to believe . She's so special and so unique that I doubt there will ever be anyone else like her. And I am talking more than just about her as an artist, but as an individual. There are no words that can really describe what Celine means to the people who admire her so much and I hope she feels that from us :) :)

Dude, I'm listening to all kinds of her French songs, just because I want to widen my spectrum. :kicking:

I have no idea what she's saying,...BUT I dont mind at all..I just love the sounds of them all. I'm slowly learning French through song.

She hasnt completely taken over my life :shifty:

-I do have one of her songs in my head all day every day...and it's a different one each day

-I watch a minimum of five videos on youtube with her in them per day

-I listen to her songs everday..whether it's on the radio or iTunes :shy:

-I've been counting down the days til my concert in Columbus...since it was 6 months and 30 days..I'm down to 2 months and 7 days!! :w00t:

-I'm on this forum everday and I do a lot of replying

-I think about her A LOT...but not obsessively.

-Had two dreams with her in it

You could call me a very dedicated fan..not taken over by her.

I dont have that much of her merchandise. Just two cd's..a magazine advertisement..and a 'Sensational" tester paper  and 'A New Day.." dvd.

But I'm hopefully going to get a shirt from the boutique..and "Sensational" for my birthday in august.

Ofcourse I would like more than that..but money doesnt grow on trees.

I think you are taken over by her if you saw "A New Day.." more than 10 times in Vegas..and/or your whole room is filled with Celine. :sofunny: :sofunny:

DO NOT STEAL MY SIGNATURE

"It's hard in a recording studio, because I'm infront of a microphone, I have to imagine all of you and then I'm able to sing the songs for you...Now I'm still infront of a microphone, with all of you right infront of me, to see all of your faces, That's why I still do it!" (wild applause) thankyou for the flowers - Celine after a flower moment 9-22-08

There is something special about her that I can't lay my finger on either. But I can relate to every thing each of you have said. I am so grateful that Celine is who she is because with out her I don't really know what I would do. She hasn't taken over my life but i admit, she is a huge part of it. There are times I can't get her out of my head. It is like a crush almost. I sing her songs all day, each day a different one, or sometimes for weeks the same few. There isn't a day that goes by when I don't listen to her music, and I don't care if it is in english or french it is still so beautiful and up lifting. There is something in her voice that gives me, personally a high, just the purity of it gives me chills and fills what ever I needed to be filled. I can't put it in any words better than that... She is just simply an amazing, inspiring, beautiful, strong, loving, and talented person I wish I could meet. And when that day comes all I will say is thank you for what you do, for the music you make. :)
