Simon Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 In the making of "S'il suffisait d'aimer"-Album, Céline said "I love this song" when she recorded "On Ne Change Pas"...but she always says that "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore" is the biggest song of her french career...Do you know why she called her BEST OF Album "On Ne Change Pas"? I don't care about the title.. I'm just interested if Céline ever said in an interview why she took ONCP as album-title. Quote You could see? I could break! Davey84 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 I think it's called 'on ne change pas' because of the meaning of the song; we don't change... it talks about the fact that people essentialy don't change, but only mature... and I think that captures the collection of songs perfectly! Céline always remained la p'tite québecoise... but she matured and so did her songs Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

pol Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Yes, I think the same. They called the album "On ne change pas" as some kind of metaphor. Celine wanted to say, they don't change and she's still the same, she's still the little girl from Charlemagne, whom about she sings in "On ne change pas" song. I don't think "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" would fit the album title. I guess ONCP is much better. L'amour Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 well i don't know if she has ever said such a thing...But on ne change pas it's the perfect title for a best of!"Pour que tu m'aimes encore" is one of my favourite french songs but i don't think she really likes it...i mean saying that it's her biggest french hit doesn't mean that she loves it!moreover i think she has to sing it worldwide not only in France or in DOM/TOM( areas of the world of french influence or that were once french colonies) and it has become a little bit like My heart will go on...a must! Esty Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 IMHO ONCP is the perfect title for a best of album like that. PQTME is a magnificent song but it wouldn't have that effect as a title song. Quote
Guest Reuben Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 With this logic "All the way" would have been called My Heart Will Go On. Quote

For everything that On Ne Change Pas stands for, that song is about her and her life. It would be better that title than PQTME...
