So the fact that Celine is a little lifeless can simply be because she wasn't singing for the album, just a demo. I think her fatigue comes out in the fact that the entire song is sung with her throat being a little collapsed and throaty, which she does when she's tired. But really, the song is a very good one and I'd have loved it on the album. The words are very real, and the melody is really attractive. Diane really has a knack for putting a great melody with her lyrics (which is not as easy as you may think). The song seems a little "Tony Braxton-esque", but I like it. Quote

I do think that it should have definitely been released on the All The Way... album. I don't see why this song couldn't be commercial. "That's the Way It Is," now THAT is a throaty song. "Would I Know" does not come close to that sound. Quote
