Ancient Dad Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Dear Ms. Dion, I suppose you receive fan mail from all over the world and I just wanted to add my comments to what must be volumes of praise for your talent. I’m getting on in years; nearing 70 now and I have always enjoyed music, even playing the keyboards as a hobby for a time myself. In those years I have enjoyed the music of many people. Elvis was becoming popular as I went in the US Army in 1957 and he was great. Through the years many greats come to mind such as Mario Lanza, Aretha Franklin the Queen of Soul, Tina Turner, The Beetles, Whitney Huston before she ruined her life and today’s Josh Grobin to name just a few. Through all those years I’ve had the pleasure of listening to and dancing to wonderful music. But…yes, there always has to be a “But”. No one from years ago, the recent past or the present can hold a candle to the quality and beauty of your voice. You have truly been blessed and although you have probably heard this time and again, I want to offer to you my simple thanks. Thanks you for sharing your gift with the rest of the world.
