Got any phobias?

I'm not just talking about the usual... spiders, snakes, the dark etc. But does anyone have a strange phobia?

 

I do!

 

I have two phobias...

 

1. Coulrophobia - fear of clowns. I don't recall ever having a bad experience involving a clown, but since I can remember if I see a picture of a clown I get tingles down my spine and get a knot in my stomach, and if I ever encounter somebody dressed as one at a party or something, I have a panic attack. Even writing the word makes me feel a bit uneasy!

 

2. Thalassophobia - fear of the sea. This is a little more rare, but troubles me even more than the fear of clowns! This one does come from a bad experience when I was younger though. When I was 7 I was lounging on a giant rubber ring in a shallow part of the sea, I shut my eyes for about 4 minutes, opened them and found that I had drifted a long way out. This freaked the hell out of me as you could imagine! I began to (badly) swim back to shore and got caught up in a pile of seaweed. Obviously I managed to get back but it shook me up real bad, I still have nightmares about it.

 

BUT... Apart from that, I am a completely normal human being!

OMG!!!!!! i hate Clowns too,they have always creeped me out.my mum said it was probably at a friends birthday party when i was little that it started.they had a clown and he made me jump real bad when he first entered the room and they couldnt calm me down for ages! and then i watched IT by Stephen King and that sealed the deal for me!

I hate Spiders too,and Dentists! Dentists are my worst i think as i literally get hot sweats and feel faint when i walk in the surgery! ahhhhh now im all creeped out!lol!

Well I'm not going to dress it up with a fancy name, I'll just say I'm all kinds of scared of spiders. They horrify me! I won't look at pictures or anything of them, they creep me out so much it's not funny. I hate all bugs really and they all scare me, but spiders are just otherworldly. I also cannot speak in public, and I'm scared of heights, and mechanical things that transport me, such as elevators, or rides in amusement parks. I'm scared to death it will break down while I'm on it and send me falling to my death, or chop my head off or something.

I don't have any "phobia", as an unexplainable fear , but I do have a "semi-phobia" of bees (I didn't find it in the list)

I just don't want to be around a bee.

And clowns never were my favourites either

Aeroacrophobia- Fear of open high places

Apeirophobia- Fear of infinity

Apiphobia- Fear of bees

Arachnophobia- Fear of spiders

Claustrophobia- Fear of confined spaces

Entomophobia- Fear of insects

Illyngophobia- Fear of vertigo(My aunt had it a few months ago. It gives me a sick stomach just thinking about it )

Katagelophobia- Fear of ridicule

Macrophobia- Fear of long waits

Novercaphobia- Fear of your step-mother(Long story.....if you wanna know, ask )

Ophthalmophobia- Fear of being stared at

Sociophobia- Fear of society or people in general

Traumatophobia- Fear of injury

Trypanophobia- Fear of injections

 

The ones I have the biggest of are Illyngophobia, Katagelophobia, Novercaphobia, and Sociophobia

 

Yes, I know that's a lot. I just happen to not like/be afraid of many things

I don't think mine's on there... But I'm also scared of clams.

LOL I just found Francophobia on that list and its the fear of things French related haha. I bet it would be hard to find someone with that fear on here

 

I definitely have Scoleciphobia which is the fear of worms. & this isn't like 'I dislike worms'. They down right scare me to death.

I have a fear of snakes and needles especially...I don't like spiders, but at least you can step on those...

I freak out when I see a cockroach, I don't mind spiders.... but cockroaches.
