Is taking chances still being re-released this year?

With all the current talk about a possible "best of" album due in the fall, I just wondered if the Taking Chances re-release was still on the cards? It would be brilliant to get 2 new celine releases this year.

Celine is not 60 yeras old. Its completly unnessesery to release a best of album. We all have all The songs of Celine. I wouldn´t pay 20€ for a cd witth celine songs that i have at home.

 

But i want a super special Taking Chances re edition!! with cool stuff and maybe the studio recording of the show must go on!

I think a re-release of Taking Chances with 4 or 5 new songs, 1 of which has to be the single of the re-release. If they make a cool new video for the single and decide to add a DVD with special futures would be cool... maybe some random footages from the tour or something like that.

When has Celine done a re-release with "NEW songs"?

 

Let's take a look back:

 

"CELINE DION" special edition in Australia: bonus tracks "Sampler from UNISON"

 

"FALLING INTO YOU" special edition: Colour of My Love Live songs in Australie and then a bonus disc with remixes, 'Live a Paris" songs, and "The Power of The Dream".

 

"LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE" - Asian special edition with "A l'Olympia" track, Be The Man karaoke, and remixes

 

"A NEW DAY HAS COME" - Special edition with DVD with TWO unreleased songs (1 to go on to be on ONE HEART) and a distorted video of Celine's face as well as a making of Vegas clip.

 

and then the special editions of the French albums (released WITH the CD at release time)

- 1 fille & 4 types - deluxe packaging with DVD

- On ne change pas - 3-cd special edition with DVD

- Digipack with DVD (limited)

- D'elles - Digipack with DVD

- Deluxe packaging with DVD

 

Now----jump to TAKING CHANCES

 

- CD with LILV DVD bonus

- Parfume with deluxe packaging box set

- Bonus 7-track hits compilation

- Japanese "Ultimate Collection"

I think we might have their quota already.

 

 

The track record of getting :"4 bonus unreleased tracks" and a NEW dvd is not so good, folks.

I would buy both, so it doesn't matter.. sometimes it comes in handy to have a "best of" album. It could have your MOST favourites on the same album lol instead of switching CD's..

I went to about five stores today and only 2 out of the 5 were stocked with TCH. What's up with that?

That's right we had alot of "Taking Chances" editions, that behind the Japanese one and with the Recording Session DVD- None of them was necessary.

 

But now I really do want to hear another 4 new songs. We know that if this one will not be release, maybe this 4 songs will never get release.

And if the DVD is the FULL recording session, including unreleased before sessions - That's would be the perfect re-release one! I really want that one.

if they will re-release it with the complete session or the full CBS Special, i'll be fine. i don't care about TRIGO or MTMH being included as i already have the Japanese edition of TC.

Yes please! And if they do they must include the CBS special, then again it'll probably be like These Are Special Times and we get the DVD 10 years later And Map To My Heart and The Reason I Go On are two of the best songs from TC and should be included on a worldwide release, Map To My Heart goes brilliantly with her bluesy session it would have been a perfect alternative to interchange with TJTWIM on tour

I hope so! I'm waiting for what goodies they will put on that edition. I hope for a few unreleased tracks excluding MTMH and TRIGO (these two songs to be on the album of course), a couple of videos, recording sessions and the CBS Special. Is it too much to ask for? Knowing Sony, I guess, it is...

If Sony has half a brain, they will re-release the album and make the will.i.am remix of Eyes on Me a single and given full release. And it would be done when she returns to the states.

I would only buy it if it had these things:

 

1. The full recording sessions

2. The full CBS special(it'd be nice if they could put the full version of EOM that they showed in France on it, but that's just a wish)

3. At least 2-4 unreleased songs so it's worth our while. MTMH and TRIGO do not count as unreleased songs.

4. The TC video(they can throw in the Alone video if they want, too, nobody cares about it) and the video that they use to promote the single that is promoting the re-release

5. If they released a new single(and a proper video) to promote the re-release

 

Knowing Sony, we'll be lucky if we get #2 or #3(and they'll probably count MTMH and THRIGO as unreleased songs)

This would be the kind of thing I'd like to see Celine do with a re-release of "Taking Chances", a stong original single to support it.
