SuperLove4Celine Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:37 AM Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:37 AM (edited) So, this is a completely stupid thread I realize this, but anybody think and/or hope that she will sing "Skies Of L.A." when she comes to Los Angeles? I'm not a fan of the song myself, but I do think it would be logical. Kind of like when she sang "A Song For You" in, I believe, Sweden. She could also perform "I Remember L.A." Your thoughts? - Joe Edited June 25, 2008 at 01:38 AM by JosephTNielsen Quote
Love, Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:56 AM Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:56 AM I don't want to downplay the diva, but she made a very silly remark about "Skies of L.A." Remember when she thought it was about "palm trees?" Oh yeah... and I don't think she even remembers recording "I Remember L.A." :sofunny: Quote
CellyDee87 Posted June 25, 2008 at 02:25 AM Posted June 25, 2008 at 02:25 AM (edited) Well I will be at the LA show and I've thought about it heaps, because like you it seems logical where else would you sing that song? Honestly I hate Skies of LA though, but I would just die if she sang I Remember LA I used to play that song for hours on end as a little girl I LOVE IT. But I do think a Skies of LA performance is likely Does anybody know the tracks Celine and her entourage have practiced for but have not yet been played, maybe it's one of them? Allie Posted June 25, 2008 at 02:29 AM Posted June 25, 2008 at 02:29 AM I actually really like Skies of LA, but I would love if she would sing either. I am most likely going to this one (definitely going to the Honda Center/Anaheim one, that is just a few minutes from my house) and it would be cool to have an extra/special song. Quote
fred Posted June 25, 2008 at 09:09 AM Posted June 25, 2008 at 09:09 AM If any of these it should be I Remember L.A. one of her finest songs and never performed live. However I don't think she remembers recording it since she reffered to Skies Of L.A. as she wanted a song about L.A. /fred Quote Peace and love to all.
billyitaly86 Posted June 25, 2008 at 09:34 AM Posted June 25, 2008 at 09:34 AM probably.... but it's not certain..... that would b that in italy she should sing les oiseaux de bonheour or je t'aime encore.... Quote
tal-sh2 Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:20 PM Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:20 PM (edited) In my opinion, this song is one of Celine's most dreamy songs... It would be so amazing if she'll perform this. maceta_biloxi Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:51 PM Posted June 25, 2008 at 01:51 PM I think she will. I've been thinking about it and the changes are very high. n loves c Posted June 29, 2008 at 04:44 PM Posted June 29, 2008 at 04:44 PM Anyone going to the LA show is gonna be very lucky in my opinion if she does sing Skies of L.A. It's the most soothing song I know. It immediately lowers my blood pressure when she starts singing, even if I'm mad! Very beautiful use of her voice there. Shesings2me Posted July 1, 2008 at 08:26 AM Posted July 1, 2008 at 08:26 AM Oh ya...I'm a Skies of LA mega fan, so I hope she performs it. Unfortunately, I don't think it is a song that will be added to any playlists during the world tour. Sorry, but it just doesn't seem to be getting the attention it deserves. Has anyone else noticed that this song sounds like a Michael Jackson tune? Maybe you have to be 40 something like me to have had a lot of MJ listening under your belt, but it has an MJ style to it. Celine was a big fan of Michael, so perhaps the guy who wrote it made it that way on purpose. Quote http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/5273/18771156.jpg
