I don't like Rated R too much...maybe it will grow on me. I was hoping for more songs in the fashion of Good Girl Gone Bad because I love that album.

I didn't actually realize that I like Rihanna.

 

Then I looked through my iTunes Library, and discovered I actually love some of her songs; Umbrella, Don't Stop The Music, Live Your Life, Disturbia, Russian Roulette...

 

I watched her sing Umbrella at the MTV live show, and thought, ouch! Two years later, she was on X Factor to sing Russian Roulette. I thought she had plenty of opportunities to improve her live performance, and I was disappointed. Before I watched her sing on X Factor, I was actually considering going to watch her when she comes to the UK, but I'm not sure it'll be worth going to see her.

 

She was still much better than Lady GaGa though!!!

Sorry to drag up an old topic but i'm seeing Rihanna in concert in Glasgow this coming Thursday night and i'm really looking forward to it. It'll be the 3rd time I've seen her and the tour so far has been getting great reviews. Expect much pics and vids! LOL

I don't really like Only Girl (In the World) at all. It sounds like a bad David Guetta reject (even though it's produced by Stargate). I really hope the album is more diverse.

Who thinks RiRi goes too far with this video? She has, after all, young fans who look up to her...

In my opinion it is one of the best videos of Rihanna , very expressive and with a deep meaning.

Prior to the PTC’s complaint, Rihanna took to twitter to voice the issues raised in the much debated video:

 

"Thank you for the amazing response on Man Down video. I love you guys, and I love that you GOT IT!!! Young girls/women all over the world…we are a lot of things! We’re strong, innocent, fun, flirtatious, vulnerable, and sometimes our innocence can cause us to be naïve! We always think it could NEVER be us, but in reality, it can happen to ANY of us! So ladies, be careful and listen to yo mama!”

 

Rihanna later responded to the PTC’s criticism with this twitter message:

 

“I’m a 23 year old rockstar with NO KIDS! What’s up with everybody wantin me to be a parent? I’m just a girl, I can only be your/our voice! Cuz we all know how difficult/embarrassing it is to communicate touchy subject matters to anyone especially our parents! And this is why! Cuz we turn the other cheek! You can’t hide your kids from society, or they’ll never learn how to adapt! This is the REAL WORLD! The music industry isn’t exactly Parents R Us! We have the freedom to make art, LET US!
