Do we know how much money the show has made so far? I think this could beat The Confessions Tour to be the biggest tour by a female artist ever, and I was hoping to find a way of keeping track of how many people have seen it.

Any ideas where I can find this out?

Madonna's Confession Tour had 60 shows at 1,200,000 tickets sold with a gross of $194,800,000.

With estimations on the rest of Germany and the "Taking Chances" Tour thus far, Celine has surpassed Madonna at an estimated 1,233,000 tickets sold. Cool thing is... she's not even done with half of her tour yet! She has over 70 shows to go! :D :D :D :D

Gross Averages:

At $100 per ticket - $123,300,000

At $150 per ticket - $184,950,000

At $200 per ticket - $246,600,000

400,000 South Africa

150,000 Japan

15,000 Macau

16,000 Korea

64,000 Australia

35,000 Shanghai

10,000 Kaula Lampur

87,000 England

41,000 Antwerpen

82,000 France - Bercy

63,000 Dublin

50,000 Amsterdam

42,000 Copenhagen

16,000 Stockholm

12,000 Helsinki

150,000 Germany

Celine Dion's "Taking Chances" Tour WILL BE the MOST SUCCESSFUL and HIGHEST GROSSING CONCERT TOUR BY A FEMALE ARTIST!

The only record left to beat is the All-Time Highest Grossing Tour Ever by The Rolling Stone's "A Bigger Bang" at $437,000,000 with 3.5 million people to 113 shows.U2's "Vertigo" Tour comes in 2nd with $333,000,000.

Celine definitely has a chance at beating either U2 or The Rolling Stone, as she still has more dates to add and announce for her World Tour.

no way 150k tickets sold in Germany.

Berlin:18k

FF: 18-20k

Stuttgart, Köln: each 6-7k

Hamburg: maybe the same sas in S n K

Munich: no idea, maybe max 40k?

So max 100k for Germany I think.

Your source, Sopha? :hmm:

I gathered from this forum that:

- 300k tickets were sold in South Africa and not 400k

- the shows in Paris moved 75k tickets and not 82k

- 20k spectators in Berlin, 17k in Frankfurt, 6k in Stuttgart....so Munich (sold-out)+Cologne+Hamburg=107k tickets sold?

400k in SA I think because the info of 300k attendance from the previous shows was before the last two concerts(each max 55k)

I think the average ticket price is lower than 100$. There are fewer expensive tickets than the cheap ones. I don't know any recent numbers, but I do remember that last year, somewhere in the fall, Rene and the tour promoters were saying the tour was already making a huge profit. And it hadn't even started at that time, not even half the tickets were sold by then. So.... I don't know if this will be the highest grossing tour by a female artist ever and I don't give a damn if it is or not, but for sure it's a highly successful tour and the most fun-filled tour for Celine and that's the most important thing!

The average price is about 200$, min around 150$. For example in Germany, the cheapest ticket costs 80euros = 120$...the most expensive ones cost 370$.

Boxscore for the Melbourne Concert

$2,314,928

12,266 ticket sold -> each ticket cost approximately 200$. That's a lot ^^.

Yes that's true average ticket prices were quite high in using your Melbourne information I know when I went Floor Tickets ranged from $500 for Visa preferred to $300 this is not including the people who payed upwards of $700 for the sound check option. The gross sales are going to be HUGE by the end! The tour could never be regarded as a flop even if stadiums are only half full, she's already gone sky-high with the success of this tour so far :D

And I'm pretty sure the bad seats in Melbourne like back row were still like $150

where is china?

the higest price in shanghai is 3000 RMB then the next 2000RMB 1000RMB 800RMB 500RMB 300RMB

though not sold out,you know celine is the only foreign singer who can make a concert in that huge football stadium which can hold 80000 people there ,l was there and the there almost full .

beside celine's gross there is the higest inclding we chinese pop singer, mariah even can not compare.that is the fact, celine receive great respect concering her position.

she even appear in our political news ,it is beyong imagination which is really a honor.

you guys don't know singer hardly can appear in that news, let alone foreign singer, celine did it .

I quite agree with your figures except for South Africa and Germany and maybe Australia.

For SURE South Africa is overestimated. Even the media reports with 300 000 or 350 000 seem to be false.

I checked all reports and we don even come to 200 000 for South Africa. Germany so far has 16 000 + 18 000 + 6000 + 12 000 = 52 000 sure and Hamburg won t be 15 000 Munich less than 40 000 so itr makes about 107 maybe, but let's wait and see...

Japan figures would mean that all 4 shows were sold out, did u have confirmation of that ?

I made a chart since the begining of the tour with all tour dates and attendance estimates. It is at home so I ll post it later.

I read reviews for south Africa and talked to fans who went there and the last two concerts were held in one of the smallest venue of the Tour, Montecasino, less than 2000 people each time, not 55 000 !!!
