My annoying neighborhood

I don't even know my neighbours...they're Indian on one side and Korean on the other...they don't speak English, which would be why I don't know them. So they don't really annoy me.

My Aunt's neighbour glued her front door and garage door shut though, on Christmas Day...

:sofunny: How in the world and why would anyone glue their doors shut?

Ok I just realised how that probably came across....I meant that my Aunt's neighbor glued my Aunt's door shut, not his own door! With superglue. Because he was mad at her, for yelling at him when he made noise in the middle of the night. That was his idea of "revenge." He was a bit crazy. So my Aunt moved.

Well, I really can't complain about my neighborhood. In fact, my neighborhood is excellent. It's very quiet and everybody minds their own business. In fact, I don't even really know my neighbors!

Oh, this is such a great topic....I had to laugh when I saw there was a topic on this :sofunny: .... and after reading your posts, I realised you guys have no idea what an annoying neighbourhood is !

Where should I begin?

The old woman who lives in the apartment under me is 100% crazy, in the sense that she yells and curses so loud that you get hair stands up like from a horror movie, and this is mostly during the night.

During the day the show is ensured by another 80 year old woman who thinks she's the administrator of the whole neighbourhood and wants to organize everything from the gardens to the parking places (which are very hard to find), from the garbage dumpsters to the storage rooms in the basement. She thinks she owns the whole thing and argues and fights with everybody. And don't even think that this is done quietly....no, the whole neighbourhood hears and knows her.

The traffic on my street is infernal....and on top of the thousands of cars driving by, there are also tens of ambulances every day that drive by right in front of my window with their sirens on. Also, at night when the traffic lightens a bit, out come the motorbikes that race up and down the street sometimes. And then there are the cars with music playing so loud that their windows are shaking.

But the icing on the cake would be the smarta$$ guys who party and drink all night in the pub that's on my street. At around 2 am when they leave the pub, drunk, they hang out on the street and laugh like crazy, say all sorts of stupid things and make lots of noise. And the real entertainment comes from the fights they have. Believe me, sometimes I don't need a TV, all I have to do is go on the balcony.

I won't even go into detail about the neighbours who do constructions in their apartment at weird hours, or about the guy who practices on his drum set. I guess these are somewhat normal things in comparison to all the other stuff going on.

So this is my neighbourhood, entertaining as hell.

But I somehow managed to get used to it all, and really get a kick out of the fights and the yelling going on around me.
