Céline and PETA

I hope this isn't going to cause a huge forum fight but I watched a PETA documentary lats night and, well..thought of Céline. From what I understand, she wears real fur? Although I don't agree with PETS's methods whatsoever, I really, REALLY wish that she would stop. There's so much amazing looking fake fur out there that there really is no reason to go for the real deal when it causes so much suffering for animals. I know she can be very naive sometimes but there can't be anyone that's an adult that isn't aware of the cruelty the animals are subjected to to make fur clothing. I remember rwacting to the video shown before she appears on stage during this tur, she's holding this cub lion with a really affectionate look on ehr face and I'm sorta thinking...that's what you're wearing. I love Céline to bits but this really gets to me.

I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I think that she should not be wearing fur (or anyone, really) because that's almost like saying she's okay with the process they go through to get the fur. On the other hand, even if she stops wearing it, it's not like they're going to stop making it - and if an animal must get killed for the fur, I'd rather have it used than just sitting there on a hanger.
