Where to find ANDHC collectors edition EUROPEAN version?

ermmmmmmmm this product has the cat. nr: 88697226662... now that's the same number as mine... and that's the USA edition.. what's different with the one now on cdwow? Does it also has the FBI logo on the back or not? :shrug:

 

Yes, the cat. number is the same, but it is released under Sony BMG besides Columbia/Legacy. The most noticeable difference is that the picture quality is better than the US release, you don't notice the pixels that much as happens in the US release (something that I have noticed in all the regular albums of the past!). And then it has the region 0 symbol, that ugly white box with something written in german, a table that shows the DVD playability and copy control and the "E" UK triangle "Exempt from classification" :thumbsup2:

 

So any big difference except for the quality, which is far better than the US one. But the king of kings is of course the japanese version :P :in_love:

I got that release from the Virgin at the Main Train Station in Berlin before those ugly coloured things for DVDs kicked in. So, I guess I was lucky for getting it back then. However, I regret that I didn't get the Japanese edition, since it has the digipack form of the Japanese TC and Superlove on it.

But is it also true that the Japanese edition doesn't have the same short verstion of The Greatest Rewards as the US/EU version?

I wanted to order the new album of Sharleen Spiriti... it was 11 euros a few days ago and now it was 19! :censored: :dots:

 

Yeah, that sucks :glare. When I ordered the ANDHC it was listed for 7.99 and the next day its appeared 8.49 :ermm: . But now its... WHAT?!! 15.99 pounds??? :blink: :blink:

 

I wish you have ordered it 2 weeks ago guys, right after I received mine and confirmed it was the EU edition! :hmm:

I got 2 £1 coupons, but I couldn't use both on one item :angry2:

As Timster was saying that "I think I'll wait till yours arrives. I'd hate to have the US version twice!" and you were talking about the ANDHC collectors edition, I thought you were thinking to order it too :) .

 

In any case they suddenly inflated the price crazily, from 7.99 when I ordered it to 15.99 now :blink: :sick:

Well you have to get the japanese edition! If you think the colours are more sharp and bright in this edition (which they are in fact), then wait to see the quality of the japanese edition, its gorgeous! :in_love:

 

Yeah its absurd they didn't include Superlove in this "collectors" edition, when it was in the original release!. But then again, it is included in the japanese edition :thumbsup2:

 

And as a matter of interest, you may want to know that the japan edition has the same format as the japanese Taking Chances edition (square), so it shows in more detail the great picture on the cover :wub: :)

This may be the wrong thread but it was the most relevant I could find rather than create a new one.

 

Well, I did buy the collector's edition of ANDHC. I think it is the Eurpoean version but how many versions are there?

 

My main question is this: I heard somewhere that there is an extended version of The Greatest Reward which was included on one of these special editions. I love this song but have never been ever to locate this extended version. It certainly is not included in my copy of the collectors ANHC. Can anybody tell me which edition it was included on or where I can go to hear this version of the song?

The version of "The Greatest Reward" on the original single disc versions of the "A New Has Come" album has a playing time of 3:30.

 

Later in 2002 (according to Wikipedia, I can't remember the exact date), "A New Day Has Come" was re-released around the world as a limited edition with a DVD featuring "All Because of You" and "Coulda Woulda Shoulda". The US version (and no international ones) of this limited edition featured the 4:04 extended version of "The Greatest Reward".

 

Apparently some (or all) versions of the 2008 re-release ("Collector's Edition") feature the 4:04 version also. I haven't unsealed my copy of the Collector's Edition so I can't say for certain which version is featured on it.

My original 2002 version (the one that "will not play on PC/MAC") has the 3:28 version.

My 2002 CD&DVD version ALSO has the 3:28 version.

My 2008 Collector's edition European version has the 4:01 version.
